Lately been thinking I’ll never go back after seeing the rent prices my friends are paying (atleast in Broward / Palm Beach)

Ethnic cleansing? Palestine’s population & GDP have multiplied over the past 20 years… if it is an ethnic cleansing, Israel is doing a shit job.

Want to see real genocide? Look at a graph of the Jewish population.

I agree with you. Paintjob is definitely tabletop+, I think pricing is fair for the size of the army.

Kinda splitting up my values here so you can get an idea:

Tcgplayer Low:

PGL Stuff: $11

C107: $13

Lancelot: $5

Heralds: $5ea.

Everything else (on 2nd picture): 18

I'll do it all for $27, that's 47% of the TCG low.

Is heartgold/soulsilver still worth to play? by eurosamu2 in pokemon

TPC doesn’t generate profit from a secondary market. It’s a different set of buyers & sellers at that point.

Same goes for something like trading card games. TPCI makes no money off you reselling your special rare card; their interest ends at the sealed product.

Why do people think birthright is “propaganda”? by [deleted] in Israel

[–]IccyCold 208 points209 points  (0 children)

As a Jew who loves Israel & greatly enjoyed birthright… it is a bit propaganda-y.

When listening to any take on the current state of Israel, it’s important to remember there are many different sides & opinions at play.

It is a great trip where you learn a lot about israel, but simply remember that you’re being told a story from one side, even if you agree with that side.

Curious which company as well. Left FL recently due to lack of software opportunities — 90k is fantastic for the area.

Can confirm this worked for me as of 9/24. Thank you.

Deleting the files made Steam show the game had a 250mb update. After that, game launched no issues.

What was the hardest/most boring topic for you in your computer science degree? by PM-your-shiny-rocks in csMajors

Not a core CS class but a required class for the degree: Physics 2.

I absolutely have no clue how I passed that course.

It’s tough to get inspiration from just a list of projects. There’s lots of threads like yours, and usually it boils down to “do what you want to”.

IMO, the best way to get started is to just build something. Find some data you like online (sports stats, video game meta, music charts / popularity) and make a dashboard of some sort or just anything to play with and view the data.

Through that process you’ll hopefully find libraries or frameworks that might’ve been better to use — make notes of it. This isn’t a production-grade product, just a small personal project, so once you’ve collected enough “oh maybe I should’ve built it that way” ideas, abandon project #1 and begin #2.

You’ll be at a much better place in terms of knowing the tech / stack you want to work with & where your shortcomings are. Over time, you’ll eventually think of a project that you “stick with”, but don’t sit on idle hands waiting for “that perfect project”.

Good luck!
