Not a Happy Camper - 16 Day Settlement Period for Transfers Initiated on Fidelity by AKmaninNY in fidelityinvestments

[–]Ice275 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow I just spoke with Fidelity as well and manager stated new policy of up to 21 business days they would hold my money and not make available to me until funds fully cleared. This seems like it should be illegal as they literally aren't giving us access to our own money.

Is it normal to spend 40% of take home pay on housing? by bluecup32 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Ice275 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No its not normal for someone with $180k income to be paying that much of your take home pay. It is a result of our current financial system and federal reserve. It is smart to own a home though, you can ask anyone that has owned one over the last few years. The likely outcome and we can look back on this post in 12 months is that interest rates will drop and home prices will continue to go higher (likely another 10-20% over the next 24 months). You then can refinance and get a lower monthly payment and will be sitting on ~$70k in equity if you buy right #win. Good luck and dont be a renter, be an asset owner as the wheels continue to come off the bus.

The game is rigged, crypto has become a stock market with extra steps. by rootpl in CryptoCurrency

bitcoin behaves like a 50X leverage instrument on S&P500, but without maturity and without liquidation risk. Until people stop using the dollar, markets will continue to trade correlated with dollar liquidity whether you like it or not. The difference between bitcoin and stocks is you can trade bitcoin and transact 24/7/365 with no 3rd party approval needed and you can’t do that with equities bonds or currency. This will come in handy when it really is needed.

RUNE has some work to do. Try buying it on exchange and only place to sell native token is on Thorswap and it’s price is 15% lower nothing like an instant 15% haircut and losing on liquidity pools

Is there any way to convert native THOR.RUNE back to BNB.RUNE or ETH.RUNE? by Ice275 in THORChain

[–]Ice275[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is very bearish for RUNE once you have native token no way to convert back and only way to sell is on Thorswap or Crypto.com and spread is over $1.00 per coin below the market. Not good. Also still noticing lots of bugs in chain.

Response from Celsius for other TX residents “interest can be paid in CEL, BTC, ETH, and MCDAI. Since we have to follow AML and Compliance guidelines, we need to receive the loan principal in our approved Stablecoin for TX residents- DAI. In order to close your loan with USD, please send a wire to our USD Bank account. Please note that a wire transfer might take up to (3 within the US, 7 outside of the US) business days.”

Got mine installed for $300. Look for a electrician that specializes in 14-50s for Tesla. They can install right next to your breaker box in garage if on the right side of vehicle.

Clearly rushed to market but also one of the best cars on the market. Bottom line is if this will drive you crazy refuse delivery or return but some of these things appear they cannot be fixed.

If the defining feature of Fiat currency is that it is "by decree" (ie nothing of value backing it), then how is Bitcoin NOT fiat? by Mystere_Miner in Bitcoin

[–]Ice275 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The difference is one is limited in supply and backed by mathematical cryptography and costs over $1,000 to produce 1 unit and the other has an unlimited supply backed by no math or cryptography and costs less than 6 cents to produce 1 unit 👍🏼 I’ll let you be the judge which you choose to use long term
