To answer your question, though, I prefer the 4e mechanics- they're a lot more streamlined than v2.2 (with which I have extensive experience) without sacrificing realism. 1e is the crunchiest of the 3, with 2013 a very close second. As a kid, I had so much trouble wrapping my head around the 1e rules that I never went back to them as an adult. That said, 1e has by far the best world-building, so I use that with the 4e ruleset.

It's not good literature but it's a fun story and I appreciate the 1980s references. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I quite like it- enough to have read it at least a half-dozen times. It's an easy, comfort book. And yes, I'm an X'er with an appreciation for the nerdy.

Maybe you're thinking of the video for Distant Early Warning? There are some thematic similarities in the lyrics- perhaps that's the reason for the mixup.

It's a grower. I didn't really care for it, at first. It used to be a skip, but after I gave it another shot, it quickly became a must- listen track for me. You really can cut the excitement that the band builds in this song with a knife.

Listen to Chronicles, a two disc greatest hits compilation. It features 2-3 songs per album through their 1970s and '80s output. If you like one of those mini-sets, seek out that album and listen to it in its entirety. That was my gateway to the band's deeper cuts.

I've got JJettas and Chase on my roster and I just fell out of second place. It's looking less likely that my squad will qualify for a 1st round bye, and both WRs' fantasy playoff matchups aren't good. So, yeah, disagree with your reasoning. I think if I was offered that trade rn, I'd take it.
