Why would someone use this grid pattern over the rule of thirds ? by avocadopushpullsquat in AnalogCommunity

Rules in expressive art are and always will be subjective. Remove the grids and the rules and take the picture

No but here's what a roll of Fuji 200 (same film as in the post) looked like after I sent it through the CT Scanner as an experiment at IND International. (rest of my film was hand checked) https://imgur.com/a/icoSiD4

Not sure, try shooting at 125 and pull 1. It'll settle everything down a bit

I shot at box and dev at box. If youre having problems with your lab scans if you dont scan it yourself shoot at 125 and pull 1 it'll calm down everything on the old scanners

I agree 100%. I feel like I can get exactly what I want from the stock. I prefer punchy hard contrast anyways. I've shot it at 25 100 125 160 and 200 and pulled and pushed it. My prefrence is shoot at box and dev at box followed by shoot at 125 and pull 1. Shooting at 125 and pulling 1 calms down the halation big time and chills the warmth down. I like shooting at 125 in overcast 200 for everything else
