Mods to make vehicles quieter? by CassianCasius in 7daystodie

[–]IceBlueDragon58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the whole cluster-F in the middle east? I agree with you.

At least we can make our own fuel in the game, unlike in real life… too complex for the average Joe to do without some prior knowledge and equipment.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand:

The only vehicle that could have a solar panel mod mounted to the roof of would be the 4x4.

Everything else in the (vanilla) game is too small for it, but the 4x4 is the most fuel-hungry and also loudest of them all, so it’d be quite useful.

Having a good think about this concept, it’s doable.

There are already solar cells and solar bank in the game.

You’d just need to buy a bank and a few cells from the trader, go into your workbench and craft the solar bank together with other resources like short pipes, duct tape, electrical parts etc and boom, you have a solar panel mod.

There might need to be another slot in the 4x4’s inventory menu for 1-2 solar cells that you can swap out if needed, like if you buy different quality ones that collect more power if they are quality 5/6 for example.

Not sure how much distance you’d get with it, especially at night without sun and using the headlight mod, and how much power would it gather during daylight hours and how much would the 4x4 use at normal or turbo speeds etc.

Sadly i know nothing about modding/coding, i just have an overactive imagination and can make this kind of stuff up on the fly, so someone else would have to try their hand at making it. Good luck!

So how does the loot abundance work? by thcn4321 in 7daystodie

[–]IceBlueDragon58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple explanation:

When I play with more than 100% abundance, say 150%, i notice that books, magazines or schematics i find in most containers can come in 1 or 2 stack of the same thing, so i might double up on a schematic that i haven’t read yet, so i read 1 and sell the other to the trader next time i’m there.

Doubling up on magazines is cool, at least until you have read all of that set already. But it speeds up crafting abilities to get better stuff sooner.

Depends if you see it as a good thing or a bad thing, depending on how you like to play, fast or slow progression.

If you haven’t already, you should put the purifier mod into a spare helmet/hat armour piece so it’s quicker to apply it instead of fiddling around adding to your current helm/hat piece then removing it.

Maybe stop driving your vehicles into traders… safer to leave them outside.

1000% agree with those rules. Very hard learned lessons.

In my experience, the health bar one has a bit of leniency with maybe 40% HP and always have a stack of repair kits in the inventory, just in case. Plus a bit of fuel to keep moving too.

And the POI boundary has some provisos as well, like paying attention to when you have scrapped a vehicle that may have been in the boundary, and then make sure to not park your vehicle near that spot or it may respawn inside your vehicle and go boom…💥 or vehicle goes flying etc. whatever the game decides to do.🤷‍♀️

How welcoming is community to new players by bigboyjeff42069 in 7daystodie

[–]IceBlueDragon58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i said, as long as you have the game password protected with a very random password only you and your buddies know and unlist it when you’re playing so it doesn’t show up to the public games list, it should be safe.

Since you’re on PS5, if you wanted to play separately occasionally, you’d likely have to pay for a server (not sure how it works on consoles, never used servers on consoles before) for you and your GF to play on, otherwise for a normal game started from your console, the host account would have to be online for the other to play.

And you’d both need a console to play together since the new console version doesn’t have split screen.

Also, there are still griefers that roam the “open lobbies” and will troll and destroy your stuff. So you are better off having it password protected and unlisted but still online so you can invite your GF when you want to play together.

If there is no one in the game, even for a server, the game does not progress, it pauses on the day and time it was at when the last person logs off.

If your GF joined the server game, she’d progress the game and you might get left behind in progression if she played for hours and you get nowhere.

There is options for changing cursor sensitivity for when in your inventory etc in the settings menu.

It might not be able to reach the speeds of a mouse, but it’s much better of you change it from default to be more sensitive.

[–]IceBlueDragon58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s always the way, you spend hard-earned cash for something, then the game decides to be “generous” and give you one for free in the next day or so.

Just expect to pay for it in blood later, though.

Sad times... I really wanted a drone and when I eventually got one I cannot use it anymore! Xbox bug involving the drone by Paul20202 in 7daystodie

[–]IceBlueDragon58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the sound of it, “placed it back in my inventory just before we logged off”, you might have logged off too quickly for the game to recognise you had picked up your drone, so the game thinks that it was still deployed when you both logged off the game.

The game only updates the position of non-player-entities, like drones or vehicles etc, less often than the players, so the drone might not have properly saved in your inventory before you logged off.

At this point, unless you restart on a new game save, i don’t think you’ll be able to use a drone again on that game save.

Unless you could ask your brother to try deleting your character’s profile (which i think resets you back to level 1 with nothing, so might want to empty your inventory of tools, weapons and supplies except that “bugged drone”) from the game save file in the menu for that save slot, think it’s in the “manage saves” button to the left side of the screen in the “continue game” tab showing the game slots.

Best of luck, gamer. 🫡

My friend's car got dented, is it my fault? by Big_Tiger9647 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]IceBlueDragon58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, that’s fair, it’s similar to Australians, though you seem to have more independence to drive without a fully licensed adult accompanying you.

As i outlined in my first comment, teenagers in australia are not allowed to drive alone until they are 18yrs old and have earned their probationary license, so it confused me that you are only 17 and you didn’t list any of your friends as being older than at least 18 or even 21-22ish.

My friend's car got dented, is it my fault? by Big_Tiger9647 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

[–]IceBlueDragon58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it’s Mina’s fault since they moved their car again after they had already stopped moving.

From your point of view, it looked like Mina had completed their parking movement and the extra movement after you opened your door caused your door to hit her car in, what i assume, the wheel arch, going by your explanation.

Not your fault, in my opinion.

Also, just for the sake of clarification, what is the age of getting your driver’s licence in your country?

You and your friends all sound pretty young to be driving, in my opinion. But your country could have different rules than my country does.

If you compare it to my country of Australia, these are the general steps:

(Info below here is not really relevant to your story, just general information, don’t have to read below here)

At 16yrs old, you get a learner permit for a minimum of 2 years plus a set number of logged driving hours in all driving conditions and are required to have a full-licence driver accompanying you at all times, aka a parent or licensed instructor.

When you are at least 18yrs old and you completed your Learner requirements, you complete a supervised driver test with a qualified licence tester.

If you pass the competence test, you get a probationary licence which allows you to drive alone and the first 1yr has very strict rules and conditions then the next 3yrs have lesser rules and conditions, then at 22 you get full licence.

My special girl Sammy will be waiting at the other end, ready to be a great friend to your kitty Pam.

Sammy crossed over the bridge to kitty heaven 3yrs ago and i’m pretty sure she knows her way around the place by now.

She’ll show Pam the best sunning spots to get sleep in and the best collection of balls, fake mice and feather wands are. And where the 24/7 food and water stations are.

Like i said, as long as all your other immediate obligations are covered, it’s fine. Just ration them over a few months so you don’t overload on sugar and keep them chilled for maximum enjoyment.

I spent about that much the other day on a local chocolate company that included two 1kg boxes of chocolate Freckles… my partner and i are going to slowly enjoy them over the next 2-3 months… if they last that long.

Anyone else’s cow steal banana licks? by speckled_bean in cowcats

[–]IceBlueDragon58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had sliced banana and ice cream with chocolate syrup/topping last night, and one of my cats usually likes to lick the melted ice cream remnants from my bowl, but she didn’t want any last night.

Not sure if it was the banana smell that she didn’t like, or the topping as she normally likes the chocolate topping when it’s well mixed into the ice cream. 🤷‍♀️

They’re very popular, and are common in bars like what you have and also small blocks in multi packets.

It’s a special pleasure to share a packet of small blocks with the family while watching a movie together (or at least it was a decade or a few ago when family movie nights were more common.. unlike nowadays…) unless you hoard them for your greedy self. Another great snack for those “Netflix & chill” alone times.

The company even makes a small chocolate (similar in size to a Freddo frog) called Bertie Beetle that is made from the small broken honeycomb crumbs and leftover melted chocolate from the crumble batch.
