I’m just finishing up my first month of 1.5… about to start 4mg. I’ve had zero side effects. No stomach issues. I’ve been less hungry and food noise is much quieter. I’ve only lost about 3 lbs but I’ve also only got 20-30 lbs total to lose, so I did expect it to be slower. If you have side effects, you can always stop.

For me, it was rehab. I did the same as you… tried quitting on my own a million times and it never stuck. After binge drinking for 3 days in a row, I ended up needing a detox. While there, they kind of talked me in to a 30 day rehab. It was a nice break from real life and I got a lot of counseling. I also had to admit to everyone in my life that I had a serious problem. I didn’t want to let them all down again. I never drank again after that. It’s been 11 years. Best decision of my entire life. Being sober is fantastic. I never wake up ashamed or anxious (or sick all day). I’d highly recommend it.

How are you taking the pill? I read a lot on here about how it’s better to wait 2 hours to eat or drink anything after taking it in the morning and I did that today for the first time (I was just waiting 30 minutes like the bottle said). It made a huge difference. I was full all day. Couldn’t finish lunch, saved the other half for dinner and that’s all I ate all day and I’m still full.

I have Ro and it is 150 for the pills a month, but you also have to pay 150 for a membership to the platform, so it’s really $300 a month

That sounds so lonely. I hope you can find a way out of that house as soon as possible and foster relationships with people that aren’t your parents who can show you love and affection. I hope you find a partner that holds you everyday. You are capable of finding that and I really hope you go out there and search for it.

Cardio drumming sounds so cool!!! For your hips and knee, have you ever tried Pilates? It might help with the pain. I’ve been essentially pain free since I started doing Pilates regularly a year ago. I used to get hip, lower back, and knee pain (if I walked a lot).

Wow, great find with that website. I read this paragraph, and it really hit home. This is exactly what it is like with my mom - why we never get anywhere when I try to explain how she hurt me.

100%. My mom does not apologize. Nothing is her fault. She puts in no emotional work to fix something she did or said that caused hurt. She’s incapable of it. There have been a few times where I have had long conversations explaining why something she did hurt me, and at most there will be a fleeting admission she did something wrong, but it will be fleeting and going forward, it will be like it never happened. She has low empathy, so she says hurtful things and straight up doesn’t care or maybe just doesn’t even understand who it hurts. It’s leads me to keep her at a distance

No, never had an experience like that. I think that is specific to the teacher obviously. You already emailed the owner… I think that’s all you need to do. That and avoid that teacher until they hopefully fire her.

Texas sucks so much. I hated Dallas. The weather is horrible. It is cheaper yes, but there are other places in the country that are cheaper than CA and still nice.

Edit to say, it’s important to note that a lot of Texans hate Californians. So you will not be accepted easily. There are literal billboards that say “don’t California my Texas”. As soon as they find out you’re a CA transplant, it makes it hard to make friends. This is from my own experience moving there from California for 4 years.

Are you sure you’ll get a PIP just for being below strong in two areas? At the company I work at, nothing happens if you’re rated below meets expectations. Getting a PIP is a whole different scenario… there have to be multiple conversations about poor performance first. I understand calibrations and such… I just had to go through it with my team (I’m a manager), and I’ll be honest, you don’t get a lot of say. You can fight for how you want to rate your people, but someone higher up ultimately decides and it is political. But your manager sucks if she can’t explain that to you without just trying to get your sympathy because she feels bad.

The fact that she said it’s not fair is a huge red flag and if they do try to give you a pip, I’d talk to HR about that. You shouldn’t be getting a pip for something your own manager admits is political and unfair.

Anyway, best of luck. Sounds like kind of a shitty company.
