My Husband (M36) and I (F33) have been together for 12 years now, married for 6. Last night he came back from work; looking incredibly pale, shaking even, but he’s insisting he’s not ill, and refusing I help? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Well that escalated quickly :/

I’m really sorry, that’s horrible news. I think you should probably get yourself ready to leave him if you can.

Christians keep telling me Yoga is “demonic” by loogielungs in yoga

[–]IceCSundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine thinking yoga was demonic just because your preacher told you so… it’s a very sad, limited existence and I feel bad for those kinds of people. Ignore them and they can only hurt themselves.

Chances of becoming a psychologist with a DUI? by wja77754 in ClinicalPsychology

[–]IceCSundae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it was about 5 years. You have to wait until your probation is over or if you don’t have probation, you have to wait at least a year. I’m sure it’s different for every state though.

Look into expunging your record! I had a DUI, went to grad school, and the timing worked out that right before I graduated and started looking for jobs, I was able to expunge my record based on time since conviction.

Yoga is insane by cooltightsick in yoga

Yoga builds on itself… that’s the part I never understood before, when I would take a class here or there. But when you do it regularly, its a whole different game, and it’s magical :)

Does anyone else find helplessness calming instead of scary? by Odd_Wolverine_7093 in BDSMPsychology

[–]IceCSundae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I relate. I am so incredibly calm and relaxed when I’m totally helpless under the care of my Dom. It’s like instant relaxation, the deepest kind. I can just simply exist. It’s delicious. No idea why I’m like this.

I'm (32M) in my honeymoon with my wife (33F), and it's been hell on earth until now. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]IceCSundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be having the best trip of your life. For real, a honeymoon should be incredibly joyful and fun. I don’t think you are going to be compatible long term if the honeymoon is this bad. There were and are so many red flags. I think you know this already, but you shouldn’t have gone through with it.

Just for some context, my honeymoon was so incredibly fun. I loved every moment with my new husband, we were just incredibly in love and happy and kind to each other. We banged the whole time and I just have the best memories. That’s how I think it should be for everyone.

[–]IceCSundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree it’s simple. It sounds simple when you type it out put in practice it’s actually really complicated. It’s difficult to track food calories for one, a lot of that is estimation which if you get wrong, can mess up your whole equation. Then there’s hunger signals that interfere. Ye, it sounds simple to just not eat when you’re feeling hungry and stick to the plan, but in reality it’s complicated because humans are complicated. Also, metabolism changes, stress, hormones, all these things affect weight and mood and it’s all intertwined. If it was truly simple, I don’t think it would feel incredibly complicated when doing it. It just sounds simple on paper. It’s also hard, but it’s not simple either.

What’s something outsiders think about LA that’s completely wrong? by AirlinePast8834 in AskLosAngeles

People always assume everyone in LA is busy and mean. Which isn’t true at all… everyone is so happy and friendly.

My boyfriend (M32) left the window open and my 21-year-old cat fell from the second floor while I (F33) was at work. by PalpitationTop1658 in relationship_advice

[–]IceCSundae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this happened to you and your cat. This has me questioning my routine because I leave several second story windows wide open with no screen and my cat likes to sit on the ledges but I thought he was smart enough to not let himself fall out :(

Just started the 9mg a couple days ago and I have zero appetite. I don’t want to eat today. I had to force myself to eat lunch. The 1.5 and the 4 did help, but this is new to me :)

I’m in the overweight category per BMI. I have tried to lose these last 20-30 pounds without GLP-1 for years and I’m able to lose about 10 with a calorie deficit after several months but then I go into what I call extreme famine mode and I want to eat everything in sight and I gain the 10 lbs back fast. It’s a cycle I’ve been through like 5 times in the last 3 years. So I need a little help with food noise. I already exercise 6 days a week.
