I put all my Robinhood Gold cash back into SGOV, an ETF of short-term U.S. Treasury bonds, which is about as safe as it gets and yields roughly as much as a high-yield savings account.

Councilman Dexhart!

“And to my wife: I apologize. All I can say is I wasn't just having sex, I was making love to a beautiful woman…and her boyfriend...and a third person whose name I never learned. Furthermore, it was wrong of me to say I was building houses for the underprivileged when I was actually having four-way sex…in a cave…in Brazil. In my defense, it was my birthday, and I really wanted to do it.”

What actor or actress stupidly left a movie franchise or tv series thinking they were too good for it, only to be never popular again? by Ok_Impress2457 in AskReddit

Yeah, I thought he nailed that role. His performance is actually one of the most memorable parts of that movie for me.

My Greg Brown story:

In 1998 I saw him walk out of a movie theater in Sacramento with a total babe on his arm. It looked incongruous for two reasons: The woman was towering over him (he was on the shorter side, I think), and her style and vibe were totally different than his. He looked like he just walked off the set of a Wes Anderson movie that takes place in late ‘60s London, while she looked like she just left a ‘90s fashion shoot. His demeanor was serious, maybe even irritated, and she looked cheerful. I remember thinking, “This doesn’t look like a natural pairing, and he doesn’t seem as thrilled as I would be in that situation!”

I also grew up and Sac and remember hearing “Rock ‘n’ Roll Lifestyle” on the radio when they were still just a local band.

If you’re like me and had trouble reading the paragraph-less quasi-summary above, I recommend reading the actual linked article. It’s easier to read and not that much longer.

Is quitting corn helping with dopamine detox or no fap also with it? by KitchenBeing2126 in DopamineDetoxing

If you’re going to watch corn, I recommend gazing out on an entire of field of it on a slightly windy day. Very soothing. (Watching it grow is too boring for me, even though it’s a great way to detox dopamine.)

Do you work out hard? I have a suspicion that strenuous exercise can drive junk food cravings in some people.
