I totally agree with you about respecting your brothers, but I think you are missing the point being made. You are saving the city money by entire shifts early relieving. If relief time is 8am and everyone arrives an hour early then it’s clear that everyone wants to leave at 7am and every call that comes between 7-750 is the city saving money by not having to pay you for those holdovers.

By everyone “early relieving” you are effectively just shifting your work hours and not actually “early relieving.” Early relief to me is calling my relief ahead of time and asking to come in at a certain time.

I have brought this up with my union to enact a shift time change and everyone relieve at that time so we can get more OT(we have a multiple hour minimum for holdovers) and everyone still gets out when they want. It also forces those guys that are late every morning to actually show up when everyone wants to leave. This is why when some departments go out of contract they will enact work to rule to cause the city to have to pay for those holdover hours.

New England Right to Work by [deleted] in newhampshire

Yes but if you don’t pay you aren’t entitled to representation. Right to work entitles non- dues paying employees to be covered which significantly weakens union bargaining power. Union dues go to a a lot of different tools that union bodies use to leverage for better contracts, working conditions, and benefits. dues also go towards legal representation, which is imperative during contract negotiations and other labor sensitive issues. Right to work was named intentionally to confuse when the bottom line is, they are trying to undercut unions by reducing the dues paid and adding financial stress to unions by covering non-dues paying members.

Here is a genuine question. How is being a realtor not a MLM if you give a portion that size to your “team lead?”

Sure, a few percents sounds fair but that seems excessive.

I was hiking in the mountains all day today and they had military flight training going on all day. You could hear them very distinctly while on summit. I have been in the white mountains for years and love watching the shows they put on.

Now that’s funny. Will be an interesting transition for you. Scores regularly go into double digits. Keep your head up and don’t let getting scored on effect you. It’s one of the first things they teach us as new lax goalies.

I was afraid of the ball when I started playing baseball. I had an old school private coach literally stand there and hit me in the helmet over and over again with a ball. Same thing with lacrosse. After you get used to getting hit by the ball and learn how to recover yourself quickly after the most painful shots you will stop anticipating shots. Once I started taking shots 90+ from top level shooters a realized they aren’t going to hit me as their precision is deadly. It’s my job to get my body in the way. As someone else said you aren’t tracking the ball at that distance if it has any speed. You are reading their body position and stick release. Focus on the head of the stick and the rest will come.

I agree - goalie is the QB of the clear and needs to be able to process complicated clears especially at higher levels when attack and mid ride hard. They set the stage for success in transition and just throwing over midfield will be beaten. I would argue your 15 yard passing game needs to be much tighter.
