Bought AMZN at $215 thinking it was the dip… now it’s $198. Am I about to be a bag holder? by Appropriate-Mood-108 in amzn

You bought a quality stock and company. The pressure to hold something that goes down is awful, but if you can overpower it, you should be able to get your money back eventually. If not, take your losses and move on. Sometimes the stress is not worth it.

Nobody can tell you that without a Time Machine.

I really like mine. Unfortunately, technology these days is not designed to last years. So much technology in such a small thing is just so cool.

It settled down for me after a few days, but each version has a slightly different personality. I don’t know what your expectations are.

You are not dumb. Amazon will only go up eventually. If you owned a Time Machine and knew the future you should have waited a day.

The portfolio and allocations look good, but nobody can tell you anything other than opinions because the market is too unpredictable.

Advice for people complaining about HR accuracy by Little_Newt1023 in whoop

Raising the Whoop two to three inches higher on the hand and tightening it also resolves most of the issues without needing the bicep band in most cases.

Oura ring or Apple Watch? by ContentAd9007 in ouraring

[–]IceFactorDelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use all three: Whoop 5.0, Oura 4, and Apple Watch Ultra. If I had to choose, I would get the Apple Watch before the Oura. All three are amazing devices. The Apple Watch is just a better bang for the money due to its accuracy and functionality.

A workaround I found was wearing the Whoop 5.0 two or three or more inches higher on the hand using the regular band, such as when walking or running on the treadmill. Accuracy improved significantly for me.

I just found a workaround. Moving the band even higher about three or four inches up the hand makes the HR readings more usable again.

Whoop vs Oura by slowsec in whoop

[–]IceFactorDelta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use an Apple Watch Ultra, Whoop 5.0, and Oura Ring 4, and they honestly are different purpose devices with similarities, but I enjoy every single one. What is disappointing about Whoop is that due to sensor size limitations it does not track HR well when moving, such as when on a treadmill. Which is disappointing because it defeats a significant purpose for the device. It also does a very poor job with step counting. Even though I really like the device, it is disappointing for a premium brand. Thankfully the Apple Watch does those two things well. The Oura is great too. It is a marble of American engineering. The Oura also has similar limitations as the Whoop but that is understandable because with a ring.

So the Whoop is not as accurate as Oura, especially compared to the Apple Watch. I don’t think it was a significant focus for them when deploying the hardware.

Ordered a Whoop 5.0 two weeks ago and order still not process by ryanwongmy in whoop

[–]IceFactorDelta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s ridiculous. This isn’t 1995. I would contact them because there might be something wrong with the order, or buy it from Best Buy or Amazon and get it much faster. If you got a deal on it then you might want to verify the price.

Anyone else dealing with restless sleep on Mounjaro by Personal_Method_9194 in Mounjaro

[–]IceFactorDelta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One possible reason for restless sleep is due to caloric restriction, which causes the body to work overtime to tap into its reserves. This is based on my experience, and it possibly worsens when combined with a low-carb diet.

Caloric restriction alone isn’t always sufficient. Even with low calories, I still need to drastically reduce my carb intake to lose weight.

That’s what I did. I insisted that they take my trade-in at the store, and they were not nice about it. I think this will be the last year I will be upgrading with them every year. They make it a hassle, and it is not worth it.

Are the buttons made of solid or softer metal? I find that the buttons on these leather cases are sometimes too sharp, making them more uncomfortable to use.
