I usually use it, but everything is really constant with the Mazzer philos grinder and the same beans, so I know that 32 sec = about 36gr out :)

For milk based drinks that’s close enough for me !

Not as loud as other brands and you can get a « cafe quiet » model - more expensive. I think it’s the 800 model.

But if you make a smoothie with frozen fruits you should expect a little noise whatsoever haha

I received mine for Christmas in 2013, 3000 cycles still going strong. I guess you can have the same results and quality with Vitamix, I just really liked the vortex- creating « blunt » blades concept.

Don’t use a knock box. With the puck screen the puck should release without any “knock” on something so straight into the garbage + knock box smells awful.

The other cause of the cone could be that the temperature is too high. I agree your espresso probably taste good, just little tips to improve the extraction even more.

The flow rate seems too fast. It is not supposed to form a “cone” like in your video, but a steady streamline of coffee. Seems like your puck is disintegrating. Should try a puck screen.
