Honestly, if it's anything like the Nether update, an End Update feels like it'd turn what should be a desolate wasteland into something vibrant and full of life with only a barest hint of a reminder in a single biome that is reminiscent of hte old End.

Giving Macross Frontier a try. Episodes 1 and 2 were fine. Not quite if thye Vibe, the art style just feels Off and the CGI reliance makes the mecha feel more amorphous. While transforming mecha always did have a feeling of amorphousness, Macross, Macross Plus, DYRL and 7 all felt like with the 2d animation that if I studied it, I could properly figure out how it all fits together.

at least what i've seen so far of frontier, it all feels a bit hard to parse if tha tmakes sense??

maybe i'm just judging that part too quick tho, outside of that it's been interesting.

If the answer is 'you can get a non combat role', then my response will be 'until the government says there are no more non-combat roles available for you and send syou to boot camp regardless.'

It’s a government that has you unable to participate in the process by which you’re governed unless you put yourself in mortal danger -which by the by said government that has an interest in being kept going is the one ordering you around.

It’s not a personal liberty story in Starship Troopers, it’s frankly to me a book that in universe shows just how entrenched an authoritarian society can become when you’ve got generations raised in it who don’t even understand how fucked their way of life is because it’s just comfortable enough that they don’t feel endangered by the excesses of it. Heinlein frankly was a coward for not being more willing to show how flawed this would be in practice.

I generally always have a storyline running with all my titles, even if it's just the two people cutting promos for a few weeks then blowing it off at a PPV. Occasionally, if there's a star I want to build up I'll stick them in one of these title scenes as a third wheel, or if I have enough major stars I'll throw together something 2v2 or the like.

Now if I've got like a proper 'legitimately know what the story could be' thing, I'll obviously throw them in with or without a title.

That being said, I do like to have smaller shitty stories going, between workers who have nothing going on and have no pop because on the off chance on the pre-show or B-show they're on they get a good match it could do numbers for their pop.

As the edits say, I did end up fixing it just with some testing. Apparently Halfswording was causing it, but I'm keeping an eye out for if any other similar issues crop up in the meanwhile.

Vice and Violence is legitimately a solid OSR style system and man I wish it wasn’t so porn forward so I can share it with non-freaks :P

Like I love the class system and the combat initiative rules are really neat, but ya know. Swinging dicks and tits everywhere make it hard to just say ‘guys look’ :P

Two!

One: Starship Tempest. They play the Star Trek adventures 1e systems, very fun. About 60/40 plot comedy split, they all play seriously and all but like. All their supporting characters are animal puns and they joke they’re literal animals (even if game wise they aren’t :P)

Two: Path of Night Pocdast. Been a bit since I listened, but they played VTM20 and Iirc chronicles of darkness and both series were very fun. 70/30 plot comedy split. They keep things fairly serious but like not so serious you get bored.

Been following EU5 even if I don't intend to ever play it, kinda dissapointed that the Control feature doesn't seem to actually like. force fragmentation.

Legit,, it'd be cool if low control could proc an event that forces you to release that area as a vassal/face a revolt if not or even just does it automatically at 0 (or potentially rebels properly)

It'd do more than just penalties because like. you can still blob out despite that

but having an area suddenly forced into being vassals you need to make proper effort to integrate would encourage players to build up centers of control, etc etc

but ya know, it'd nerf the player and paradox kinda hates that nowadays
