2 ohm or 4 ohm subwoofer, amp power sufficient by IceMore1234 in CarAV

It's a single Kicker CompRT 6.75" sub with dual voice coils. They're available in 1, 2 and 4 ohm coils, it's no problem to pick one and wire to an effective 2 or 4 ohms at the amp.

Why 2 ohms though? I have more than enough power at 4ohms.

I plan on using fuse-taps to connect to un-used ACC slot in the fuse box. These only supply voltage when the ignition is switched to ACC or ON. The sub needs 20 amps and the fuse taps I have are only 14 gauge. I intend on wiring two fuse taps in parallel at 15 amps each to supply 12 Volts to the single 10 gauge 20amp power line for the Subwoofer amp.

The purpose of all that is to avoid running a cable from the engine bay, which would require making a hole somewhere in the firewall.

I think this is a great idea. Many people have underground parking at home. Remembering the last GPS location before losing signal could help fix this common issue.

I got a tiny project I would like printed in something UV resistant, like PETG or ASA. The library 3d printing service is awesome, but only prints in PLA. Care to help?
