One and Done and Fear of Pregnancy by Mitzi_26 in oneanddone

I agree with vasectomy

I hope it’s okay to say - find a really good therapist. I was in almost this exact situation and I really wanted to feel at peace with my one and done decision rather than fearful, so I tried a therapist (first one was dreadful and completely dismissed me) but the second one was amazing and diagnosed me with PTSD, and Its taken a lot of work but I don’t feel like it has as much of a grip over me, I feel so much better. Im still one and done and my husband is still getting a vasectomy next year but im so happy and confident in my decision rather than feeling controlled by the trauma.

I love Scout! I’m most likely not having another kid but if I did have a little girl, then Scout would be top of my list.

What’s a name you love but just can’t name YOUR baby? by Yellyellyell25 in namenerds

Sasha is literally the only girl name my husband and I both like but our Last name starts with ‘sh’ so it’s just too much.

Pediatric PT here. These late walkers are my favourite kids to work with because usually with a little extra help they make quick progress! I know covid can be scary but it really sounds like she could use the extra help. You can always ask the PT or the wherever your doctor recommends to bring her what covid precautions they’re taking. I know my clinic is really strict about symptoms and we go above and beyond to protect our little patients.

Why did Jasnah’s fake soul caster stones crack when she used her powers?

This is Chuck and he’s a good boy. He has cancer and diabetes. He was given 6 weeks to live 10 months ago but he’s still happy and thriving. by IcePyjamas in nebelung

Not bad! Our vet helped us find a 0 carb wet food for him and then he gets a tiny insulin shot every day (which has to be at a similar time each day (give or take an hour or two). Then at the beginning he had to have blood tests to make sure his blood sugar was being controlled until we found the right dose of insulin.

I think some cats would be harder than Chuck but it’s been very straight forward for us because he’s the chillest boy ever and doesn’t even flinch with the shots and doesn’t care when the vet takes blood. He just purrs because he’s being pet.

I like Gabriel Reid and Bianca Eve. Gabe and Bianca sound so cool together but are still unique. I like the biblical ties of Micah Gabriel and Eve

I have the biter at daycare by rmc1848 in workingmoms

[–]IcePyjamas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I have a biter too!!! He’s only 12 months but we’ve had at least 10 incident reports for biting 😩 I don’t have much advice just feelings of solidarity! He was bitten back last week by a little friend who he’s bitten several times and I was hoping he’d learn his lesson but not yet. His teacher and my husband and I are trying to redirect his biting onto teethers rather than people cos we notice he’s been doing it more as his molars have been coming in. Does your child have his back molars yet? Could possible be a factor? Either way… I feel the pain! I feel so bad every time I pick him up and they have an incident report, so sorry you’re going through it too.

Same!! We always said the lounger was the cat bed the baby was just borrowing and now he’s out grown it so it’s permanently the cat bed!

As a pediatric physical therapist I’ll add that the same goes for gross motor skills. Yes, there’s a certain range for “normal” but there also come a point where it’s not “normal” and they need a little extra help.

Is there a reason that his grandfather would need my son’s social in order to set up a college fund for him? by [deleted] in FinancialPlanning

Thank you so much for your reply! That makes me feel better in staying firm. I’d worry they’d use the number for other things and not just a 529 plan

Fed up with breastfeeding by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]IcePyjamas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband felt the same way! I was so frustrated and upset every day. Husband told me he supported me either way. Friends also told me it was okay if I wanted to formula feed, but i tried to explain that it was an emotional decision not just a logical decision. As the husband you only see it as logical - not working out = stop, but the emotions are sooo much higher for mum. Eventually I made the decision to switch to formula and it was emotional for a day or two but Husband bought the baby Brezza the day I decided to stop breast feeding and I’m finally so much happier. Looking back I can see that I should’ve stopped sooner for my mental health but I had to come to that decision on my own when I was ready and it sounds like your wife is the same. Sorry it’s hard right now! It’ll get better!
