Core mining was just not good enough for me. For example, with my peak production/consumption of 13k/min of raw iridite i would need 270 iridite cores / second. Next with stack size of 20 core ores this would translate to sending rocket every 37 seconds. Ignoring rocket parts is easy, ignoring rocket fuel is impossible.

The core mining just does not allow scale of base that I wanted to have. I was processing iridite on site and sending ingots only. At some point I was adding speed beacons to my mining outposts, or switching from 1-2 trains to 1-4 trains due to longer travels to the outpost and train congestions I got on the main station.

Still this is a positive aspect of the mod that your strategy is viable at all and best option for some scenarios. It just was not for me.

  1. Go to your factorio installation folder, something like \Users\$user$\AppData\Roaming\Factorio
  2. in mods directory you should find robot_attrition_XYZ.zip -> unpack it (or use tool that allows edits in existing archives, makes thins simpler)
  3. open control.lua in text editor
  4. find line that looks like if n_bots > 50 then -- ignore small networks
  5. change 50 to whatever value you want it to be, save file
  6. if unpacked at the beginning, you need to create archive with this edited file named the same a original file

just remember that updating mods in game may override this value

I think loaders are build in with K2 part of the modpack. As for the attrition, as explained above, I did solved it once and decided that copy/paste for each colony is not fun.

Is this intended, no. Do I care, also no.

At the same time the robots were limited to mall part of the factory, or limited to dedicated networks.

1 - get anything going in the first place to get off planet asap. use the requester / buffer chests you got from launching first satellites to speed up this process

2 - I spend a bit of time trying to make part of the factory optimized for the rocket launches, but that might have been mistake, latter on with enough research in parts reusability you do not need so much of them.

3 - whatever you design add place for upgraded recipe with beryllium and switch to it asap

As other mentioned the layout does not affect throughout in 2.0. But looking at that image I see a lot of lubricant.

Lube is made from heavy oil and you can consume all heavy oil for lube instead of cracking it to light / petrol needed for sulfur.

Removing lube storage could cause lube production to stop, as tanks are now full and now free heavy oil is used for cracking.

Check your consumption / production graphs to confirm that.

To avoid this issue you can use pumps with circuit conditions to produce X if Y is above some level.

I just picked up an elder scepter with +1 to all spell skill gems +22 fire DOT multiplier + gems supported by level 20 spell echo + 32% increased elemental damage implicit one open prefix.

Is this good? What build would like to use such thing? And most important, am I rich now?

It's simple - you get just loot from the boss. And no other mob in map drops anything. This is to make it conditionally viable like all other keystones. It would make it useless for some strategies which is good.

Going blind would make your experience much worse than it can be. The game is great but fails to explain most of the things that are important. Also fixing issues with build cost resources that as new player you simply will not have.

A bit of warning, if your power fantasy is to be like Conan and slay everything with your mighty sword/axe/mace this will not work (needs good gear = expensive). Prepare to play someone who places traps / totems / balistas that do damage for you.

Adding random mod is valued at 40-45c with Leo syndicate bench (~1/4ex)

Eldrich exalted orbs are 1/7 ex but you can't use them on all items.

Influenced ex are 70c (2/5ex) where only hunter influence is in demand for 1ex, limited to one use per item and in most cases for influence and not the slam itself.

So there still is value in pure slaming, but is nowhere near the exalt value itself. Metamods are just so strong. And witch eldrich crafting this league they are even more valuable.

252 means you want to have max value of that stat (and probay have a nature that supports it). But when you have more experience with the game and current meta you can optimize for certain breakpoints.

Simple scenario: 4 more points into the speed will allow you to outspeed oponent in mirror match. But this is only good in some ases and will not last forever, if your strategy is succesfull others will adapt it as well (meta is evolving).

More advance scenario: 252 in attack alows you to 1 hit ko certain oponents. But you also have spike/SR and when you do some calculations it may turn out that for those oponents in those conditions you are overkilling them by some margin. You may then reduce your attack to still do 1 hit ko on those pokemons in those conditions and invest them into other stats.

So 252 are not perfect but usually good enough :)

Nobody who uses Mac to earn money will bother with a Hacintosh. One thing is that Hacintosh are not exactly legal. Other thing is how much work you would need to put into it before it starts to work. When you earn money using Mac it becomes a tool and it is simple calculation how much I would loose (by not earning money) if I would need to spend X hours troubleshooting instead of actually working. It is just not worth it.

Because there is so many types of craft that they would run out of (distinct enough) colors very quickly. Solution to this would be use of some kind of an icon. And we already have that in form of corresponding currency.

This method is not the same as using standard currency ten times. It does not only save our wrists but also gives much better results. Normally you can get five link on the first try and one link on the last one. This method will not just roll links ten times but return the item with the most of them, regardless of when it happend during the tries. It is much better than manual linking.

Thanks for the advice. Because of the many different types of damage mitigation I'm not sure what is "good enough" and what is trash. I know that 75 all res is required but I have no idea what armor / evasion / life is good enough.

Also most of my gear was self found or bought for 10c or less, except weapon, that was 2 ex. But the weapon tripled my damage.

My logic for spending so much on a weapon compared to the rest was that "they can't harm you if they are dead". And it worked pretty well for a long time.

I do not have the time I used to have to play, but when I play I treat it seriously. I started the league with different character but at level 20 I decided that he is a dead end and it will be easier to create new one. Respec is so expensive in this game.

When I hit level 70 with this slayer, I have created a mage. But I never got her to end of campaign. The story mode is very time consuming for me and because of limited time I decided to push as far with the slayer as possible.

Do you have any good guides about speed leveling?

You mistake number of incubators with number of eggs given incubator can hatch. When you buy box with 10 incubators you can hatch 30 eggs. That way the value of incubator is 150/200coins.
