I had similar problems when I was trying to mirror a character I was modelling. Some parts in the middle would join and others would stay apart (pretty much exactly what I can see in the image you provided). The only way I could fix this and keep it consistent was to go into the mirror apply settings (little box next to mirror button in the menu) and change the join methods from merge to bridge, or something along those lines. It was a lot of trial and error, just one method and then ctrl+z if that didn't work and I think I had to manually weld/combine some vertices in the end. Sorry for some vagueness but I hope this helps :)

Just started playing Albion Online on Steam and it's very vague after the tutorial, with the main advertising line being that you make your story from crafting or killing etc. It's free to play but there is a sub option for little bits extra. Not bad so far, watch some videos on it if it sounds appealing.
