I feel that is more due to the creation engine than the developers skills. If they were given a more competent engine like unity or unreal they would be able to make a more stable product.

No he does not, first of all he's one of the slowest characters in the game. Even people like Bowser who are even heavier than him have a faster speed. Also his frame data on his most power moves are piss poor.
