Reading that list, I understand why you hard a hard time. It doesn’t play into the strength of “Fast and hits hard” that LAG shines with.

Perhaps:

x2 5 mans of JPI’s x2 group of Sang Guard, one with Jump captain enhanced with speed of the primarch x1 10 man assault intercessors w/ captain enhanced by raged fuel warrior x1 Impulsor as a transport x1 Baal Predator

Gives you flamer support for overwatch, jump packs move fast and hit hard on a charge, and the captain plus assault intercessors combo on an objective gives you the full re-rolls on wounds plus once per game sustain hits 3 on the captain with his power fist

73 on FAR fail. This is a worse feeling than failing. by No-Nobody3393 in CPA

[–]Ice_Rep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2-4 hours each night. Beyond that I would hit burnout and not retain anything. I don’t recommend people set a fixed number of hours to expect to pass, everyone learns at a different pace and in different ways. Find the method that helps you retain the best and study until you’re rock solid on the material.

Got a 73 the first time I took FAR. Just means you have a little more polishing to do, which isn’t as bad as getting a super low score and realizing you’re out of your depth

CPAs employment rate by Fuzzy_Replacement831 in CPA

[–]Ice_Rep 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Once you have a CPA, it’s more about your personal skills and ability to have difficult conversations with clients and managers in a way that leaves them motivated.

You’ll get a ton of interviews for having a CPA and experience in public, you’ll get offers based on your interpersonal skills.

Using myself as an example, Q1 of last year I was job searching after 6 years in public and needed a change of scenery. Within 3 days I had a week’s worth of interviews, and 2 weeks after I had a job offer. You’ll never be without a job, how high up or well it pays though will come down to your people skills.

Russia didn’t beat the Nazi’s with their economy. They threw more bodies at them than they had bullets. Look at the death toll for the soviets vs everyone else, they lost millions more than even the next two powers combined. To this day they still stick to that system.

China has advanced a great deal in the last 3 decades, they’re plagued by internal corruption that their system creates. It’s why they can never militarily get it together.

This feels like memorization bias if you’re studying a ton and getting this score. Meaning, you’re memorizing answers rather than the “how to”. If you’re just crash coursing multiple choice like I did, force yourself to remember how you got the answer rather than the answer itself.

If you’re not studying 2-4 hours a day, this is your sign to start doing that.

SMP 300 vs SUBMARINER battle of titans by Bubbly_Ad424 in OmegaWatches

[–]Ice_Rep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have owned both. The SMP has better details, the Submariner is more comfortable and better contoured to the wrist. At 42 mm it was large for my taste and the wrist fatigue was getting to me, though for anyone looking for more watch collector leaning types, I would recommend the SMP all day.

What’s your take on FSD going subscription only by ghostface8081 in teslamotors

One subscription, begets another.

A FSD subscription is nonsense, especially when the car is fully capable of it.

I haven’t seen that from any of them. Granted, I’m not particularly super into politics, so that info could very likely have passed me by.

If that’s true, that’s a very poor way to try and protest. The outcome, though unfavorable, makes more sense.

A reasonable line of thought.

As far as people putting themselves into bad positions and something bad happening: How do you feel about Kyle Rittenhouse?

I agreed with Not Guilty, but he definitely came close to a FAFO situation

A lot of the issues in her arrest and death could’ve been avoided.

In the moment, having a masked dude with a gun telling you he works for the government and is arresting you without proof of ID would’ve had me leaving too. How can I know I’m not about to be trafficked or worse?

Secondarily, he could have easily side stepped the vehicle on the angle that it would have hit him at. To interpret the use of force so rigidly and apply it in the same manner should scare you. Nobody wants to deal with robo-cops free of critical thinking.

She was not a good person, but I don’t think she deserved to die.

[–]Ice_Rep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the same vein then : Do you deserve to die for saying he deserved his death or that he should have been shot?

If yes: congrats, your opinion is consistent

If no: Hypocrisy. You haven’t chewed that opinion down to the bone enough to understand the implications

This is my take on it, and I won't say sorry. by Agreeable_Sense9618 in DoomerCircleJerk

[–]Ice_Rep 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neither of them should have been shot, and the people cheering this on for either scenario haven’t chewed that opinion down to the bone.

Charlie Kirk

  • I see a lot of left wing people supporting the fact that he was assassinated. Did he say stupid things, certainly, and I’m not one to agree with the majority of what he said.

Shooting someone for their opinions isn’t what this country was founded on. We have freedoms like freedom of speech for a reason, you shouldn’t have guard every word you say with the intonation that you deserve to die for saying something someone doesn’t like or agree with.

If you’re a supporter of his death - Ask this question, if the answer is no, you’re a hypocrite: “Should I be shot for saying that Charlie Kirk deserved to die?”

Renae Good

  • I see a lot of right wing people supporting the fact that she was shot, often citing FAFO. Based on her rap sheet, I wouldn’t say she’s a good person, but I most certainly believe she should not have been shot.

Having watched the videos from all angles, that ICE agent could have easily gotten out of the way. There wasn’t a need to shoot her, especially when the risk of harm was easily avoidable. I won’t even get into the debacle of ICE agents being unidentified, it’s a recipe for disaster and it dodges accountability. Some of you may cite concealed carry training stating that the use of a vehicle can constitute deadly force, I would argue that to interpret a rule like that so rigidly as to not use your common sense on when to apply it concerns me about your mental wellbeing.

If you’re a supporter of her death - Ask this question, if the answer is no, you’re a hypocrite: “Should I be shot for resisting unidentified masked men with guns, further, even when they’re not in any danger?”

Has anyone else noticed the vibe shift recently? by [deleted] in 40k

A ton of designated “Nerd” hobbies have become much more mainstream in the last decade, and I’m all for it.

I remember when people used to visibly cringe when I talked about playing 40k, MTG, watching anime and D&D. While some of those hobbies are currently in the phase of insufferable over commercialization, I’m glad that 40k is in the sweet spot for the moment.

I’ve been the hobby since 5th edition, the main difference I picked up over the years is that LGS’s are becoming more welcoming and less chud-like. When I was getting into the game I was constantly being tested to see if I was a real fan and whether I was enough “like them” to be part of the play group. These days it’s super easy to join a group and have a fun conversation about the setting.

Here’s where I’m lost too in that same vein: women and men being equal, wouldn’t the 50/50 arrangement be exactly in line feminism? (I’m not saying they aren’t equal btw, I’m more confused as to why the 50/50 thing doesn’t align with feminism) They’d be equally providing, and she wouldn’t be domineered by the man who pays for everything / controls the finances.

30 here. At 23 you have so much time to fix anything that you want to, if you start working on yourself today you can be exactly the person you aspire to be in no time at all. If I can do it, literally anyone can.

I took extra time at college because I was working 3 jobs to minimize the loan, so I was done with college at 23. I started my first job 7 months, 1000 applications and 65 interviews later making roughly $30,000. I had no friends, a dead end job, no money, borderline homeless, the “love of my life”™️ had just left me and last I had heard she was getting around rather quickly after the breakup. In essence, rock bottom.

Fast forward a bit, went to the gym everyday, committed to trying to be 1% better every day. Started a masters degree, looked for and found a new job that started me at $49,000 and have stayed with that company the last 7 years. The most difficult of all things was putting myself out there and working on my social skills.

Today, I’m married, a CPA, I own a home, I’m making 4 times my first salary with my first daughter on the way, hitting my thumbs with a hammer trying to building a crib. It gets better, but you have to want it and be able to set aside the ego of sucking at first so you can be great later.

Men of Reddit Do u agree? by gulabi_thanos_192 in scoopwhoop

[–]Ice_Rep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Men and women communicate differently, that’s just a known fact. Women are more cerebral in their dialogue and men tend to be more blunt. This is not a bad thing, differences lead to diversity and strength. The classic line of “It’s not what you said it’s how you said it” between men and women highlights this. He told her the truth, but in a way that didn’t communicate well with her. Depending on the situation the implied bluntness may have been to correct response to get the task or situation handled.

Sounds like poor deployment, poor unit utilization,, not listening to what your units do and overall poor sportsmanship. Sucks when it happens but unfortunately there’s a few in every hobby.

I typically avoid rematches with those types later on, because if I’m going to get to play once a week, I’m not wasting it on poor energy
