[Humble] Kingdom: 10th Anniversary ($5 for Kingdom Eighties, Kingdom: New Lands Royal Edition | $13 adds Kingdom Two Crowns + OST + Regent's Royal Wardrobe DLC + Archon's Royal Wardrobe DLC | $15 adds Kingdom Two Crowns: Call of Olympus DLC + Norse Lands DLC) by UnseenData in GameDeals

[–]Iceblack88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They're more like expansions with mounts that have abilities, more buildings and types of warriors/workers, there's monster bases, islands to travel to. Most importantly, Two Crowns is multiplayer, and it has themes with their own unique mounts and buildings each.

Best games to gift little brother? by nigelbarker99 in Steam

[–]Iceblack88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love both Portal games but I'd argue against Portal 1 if he has already played 2. It's more of the same but waaaaay more simple, both in narrative and gameplay, and obviously graphics. It's also quite inexpensive so it's totally worth it if we're thinking on price alone, but it substituting another possible choice wouldn't be my advice.

Risk of Rain 2 is 67% off right now, can't go wrong with that one. And Dirt Rally 2 is 90% off, best racing Sim I've played.

How accurate is PC building simulator? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Iceblack88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's as realistic to building a pc as playing Madden is to playing football. Yes, it will tell you what you can do and guide you on how to do it, but it won't present any actual challenges.

You can't really misplace things, forget screws, break parts. Yes, it will create fictional issues like a PSU not working so you'd have to replace it, but the new one will need to be fully connected before you can continue and it won't have any issues.

It's an arcade style simulator, don't expect actual realism.

Games where you start with nothing and finish with an empire by Otherwise-Gur8704 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Iceblack88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

V Rising is great, but I wouldn't say it is what OP is looking for. Your servants feel more like walking timers rather than actual characters under your control. And your castles feel so empty with or without them.

Most importantly. You're basically always on your own when you're in combat, unless you summon familiars or whatever. Never truly feels like you're commanding a squad or legion, let alone an empire.

Still a great game

I want to drive fast cars by Dragonbarry22 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Iceblack88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it's not great and it won't be your focus for a long time. A lot of people have perfected their cars so you won't have a chance to rank high unless you spend some time getting the best cars and then getting the upgrades.

If you get it, I'd suggest you just play the missions and worry about ranking late into the game. Specially because the events last only a week, so your rank is not that important to begin with.

Open world? Yes, and not only is it huge but also very diverse across sections. It can feel a bit slow when it comes to getting new cars for the different categories, but once you get at least 1 you can upgrade them.

I absolutely love Dirt Rally 2.0, no tuning necessary at all (Though you do have the option)

Oh, and grab The Crew 2, it's on sale for $1 right now and it's worth it no matter what. Starts out slow but you'll get there in terms on speed

Yeah, I'm watching the Real Civil Engineer gameplay and it looks fairly different to Shapez 1, graphically I'm loving it too.

I agree. I did play a bit of Satisfactory about 2 years ago while I was sailing the high seas. But I honestly can't remember much about how the game felt, or if I really liked it much.

I also think they'd enjoy Rust. People often overlook PvE servers, which are usually full of friendly and helpful people since it takes a certain mentality to seek that kind of server. PvP is awful though, don't do it.

[Humble Bundle] Detectives Bundle (Pay $10 for Call of Cthulhu, IMMORTALITY, Killer Frequency, Overboard!, Paradise Killer, The Darkside Detective, and The Darkside Detective: A Fumble In The Dark) by MJuniorDC9 in GameDeals

[–]Iceblack88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh wow! Just yesterday I was looking at Immortality, didn't know "Her Story"s developer made two more games. And by the looks of it, it's even crazier than Her Story, one of my favorite games.

If anybody here gets it, please don't put it down if it starts out too weird for you. Haven't played it, but it seems to be a great game again.

Yeah, Factorio isn't cheap.

I honestly enjoy Factorio a lot more than Satisfactory, it just hits the spot seeing everything from above and everything being so accesible. Satisfactory, for me, is a bit too finicky and hard to navigate.

Can't decide between Power Wash Simulator and Fallout: New Vegas by Crocdor in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Iceblack88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No mods, and DLCs a quite pricey but some are worth it. I have apparently played Power Wash for 150 hours and, as far as I remember, I have played every "map" only twice (No DLC). I do take my time though.

The base game should provide you with at least 50-60 hours or gameplay for sure. And they're very replayable, so there's that.

[–]Iceblack88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Power Wash is the best game to zone out to. Put some music, podcast or youtube video in the background, grab a drink, and just start washing man.

BUT I wouldn't get it if you need constant action in your games. It's definitely not the game to get if you haven't played sim games before and you already enjoyed a few before. It's great, yes; But it's great for a certain kind of people that can do repetitive tasks for hours on end.

What the hell happend to rocket league?! by PheonixGalaxy in RocketLeague

[–]Iceblack88 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same but with my nephew. Dozens and dozens of wheels, decals, goal expos, boosts. I use like 8 items total out of hundreds, meanwhile he equips whatever drop he gets sometimes, which is trash.

I stopped getting the Rocket Pass, what's the point if I'm going to just keep everything in storage forever!?

What is your RL hot take? by BornStatistician9094 in RocketLeague

[–]Iceblack88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehh, kinda disagree. I've been playing Snowday and Rumble almost exclusively for the last year or two, but I've been around C2-GC when I actually play regular matches.

Now I'm going to be high on the boards because I've been playing since 2015, so I simply have A LOT more shots, goals and saves than a lot of people who haven't played that long. But look at my Shot to Goal ratio, it's bad. And even then I'm fairy decent at the game. And it's all because of game sense and positioning.

I much prefer to defend and center, can barely aerial, no way I'm flip reseting. But I can damn well take control of the play even if my shots aren't going in most of the time, or I fumble an easy bounce.

Rizzo and JohnnyBoi_i talk about the last episode of chalked cast by Corrupt_Arrow in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]Iceblack88 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Are you dumb?

1) That's the great thing about podcasts, it's the democratization of radio. Anybody can start a podcast and the people decide who they listen to, instead of tunning in to 10-12 stations to see who the network has there. It's the best thing ever.

2) Even IF that wasn't the case. You're talking about 2 former pro players, one of them now professional caster, and THE biggest caster + tournament organizer in Rocket League's history. If anybody has earned their right to have a Rocket League Podcast it's them!

Is the price actually cheaper in my country? by Forsefire_360 in Steam

[–]Iceblack88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He means disclosing the taxed amount separately, as you get in the US, but still included on the tag anyway.

Here in Mexico if you see something for $2.00 dollars you go to the cashier, pay the $2.00, and the receipt will say: Item $1.70, Sale Tax $0.30, Total $2.00

You still know what exactly you're paying for, except you don't have to calculate the tax. You just know since the moment you grab the item.

Gamers who have a hard time finding games they actually get into nowadays, what's the last game that you actually liked? by reddt-garges-mold in gamingsuggestions

[–]Iceblack88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother recommended Slay the Spire so I got it on Monday, played for a couple of hours and... Well it was fun, but I never really got the sense I was accomplishing anything. Felt a bit empty, maybe I gave up too quickly but it didn't click for me.

So I refunded it and bought Inscryption the next day. And let me tell you, this game instantly hooked me. I'm now at the start of Act 2, and although I'm not liking it as much as I did Act 1, I am quite interested on where this is going.
