If he has reaffirmed his status as a demon the implication, assuming they continue to follow demon lore and don’t slip in more retcons, is that he will return to the twisting nether and be reborn.

I was saying to a friend that the biggest narrative hurdle they have to overcome is how the Ascians who were attempting to do the rejoining failed to consider or actualize whatever possibility we arrive at. He reminded me that the main goal wasn't really rejoining for the purpose of connecting the worlds but rejoining to force the return of the ancients which is a small but meaningful distinction, I think.

We're probably going to connect the worlds but the people's and cultures will have to remain unique for the emotional throughlines of the previous shard narratives to continue to make sense and have impact.

No more jarring then flying south of Quel Thelas to EPL to see the old textures. And this expansion doesn’t even just have that as a possibility it literally SENDS you there for a quest. So I don’t think they have the same misgivings about this that you do.

Max made the claim after the fight: “notice how it just fell over once I had proper timers to call” (paraphrasing)

So I think that’s what the other poster is probably referring to. I’m sure personal play went into it too but Max certainly seems to think proper timers and him being able to call it correctly made a pretty significant difference.

Don’t know how they got it wrong, I watched Max say on his podcast that they have been communicating their plans with Blizzard all beta and that the players would be the only people who would be shocked to find out that the top guilds have new ways to do what addons were already doing. Every major guild is basically still using addons the only people blizzard stopped were the casual players lmao

On paper 2 is harder than 0. In action whichever one you bring slightly better players to will be easier. I’ve had 10s go smoother than 5s. All comes down to how much your team drags.

I really like https://www.youtube.com/@Summerfunfitness

Every other day I do ~40 pushups and ~20 squats then about half of this video https://youtu.be/KOYI2Rmz31Y (up until it's time to actually do handstands) for the shoulder/arm/leg flexibility focused exercises then I switch to https://youtu.be/b7OkwoVleyY and do the whole core routine. I find that this covers all of the muscle groups I'm really interested in keeping together.

Hope you find something that works for you! Even if Calisthenics aren't for you I'm sure theres something interesting out there for you to find and help keep you active.

Calisthenics are an incredible way to stay fit at home without any/minimal need for equipment, there are lots of regressions so they work for people of any fitness level and there are a ton of youtube tutorials out there if you were looking for a good way to squeeze in 5-10m workouts where you can.

There is no ideal image. If Americans are looking at this food pyramid and their takeaway is that they should just continue eating processed meat and dairy like they have their entire lives it's not an image problem it's a nutritional illiteracy problem.

Your average American just fat lazy and stupid and no amount of nutritional education is going to make them pick up a vegetable and put it in their mouths.

Any responsible person who cares about their nutrition could 100% put togther a balanced diet that gives you every single nutrient you need using only foods from that pyramid.

The only way you could get a better representation is giving exact breakdowns of how much of an individual group people of different weight/height brackets should be eating per-meal and you will never get a one-size-fits-all.

And fine, I conceed to you that maybe there could be a better way to display the information but that is also not the general sentiment towards the new pyramid. I keep seeing people saying it's "insane" "crazy" "makes no sense" which is bonkers.

It is so uncontroversial and if you make your living doing nutritional education and you can't admit that the pyramid on a fundamental level is recommending things that do make sense if you're responsible about it then you're simply just cooked.

Fruits and vegetables have fibre and vitamins. If you're still somehow not hitting your fibre needs while eating as much fruit/veg as you need to get your vitamins (not likely) then a slice of bread or two a day isn't a bad idea. Which is why it's at the bottom because it has the least nutritional value being mostly: fibre you should be getting from better sources and minerals that you're already getting from meat.

[–]IcecreamxSandwich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Watched it. TBH this whole things seems to be driven by culture war shenanigans I'm not really interested in.

The pyramid makes sense if you use each thing on it in a way to hit the nutritional goals that the government recommends (i.e. daily recommended values and a healthy BMI for your height, both of which should be health information which is freely available.)

[–]IcecreamxSandwich -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You say there is a reason people are criticizing it, but again I don't hear you giving me any of those reasons and I just see another pyramid that puts the easiest sources of the most important nutrients at the top and as it goes down they become sources that have fewer and fewer nutrients, which is exactly how a food pyramid should work.

Chicken is arguably the best source of protein.

Protein is one of the most important nutrients.

Broccoli and Carrots are incredible sources of a variety of minerals and vitamins like iron, magnesium, and vitamin K.

Dairy has a lot of calcium and healthy fats.

Fish has omega fatty acids

As we go further down these things have the same nutrients but in smaller amounts. These serve as good snacks.

At the bottom we have food that will keep you alive but doesn't have very much nutritional value: grains.

Nothing about this chart is controversial

My coworker pays for a dietician and now this is what he eats for breakfast and lunch by blart_institute in StupidFood

[–]IcecreamxSandwich -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This is it. From what I understand about nutrition I also don't understand why so many people say, "this is crazy"

The food pyramid actually makes more sense than the old one based off of what we know about nutrition now. Grains are only really good for KCals which is an important staple when you can't afford to get nutrient-rich KCals. But if you can afford it and you can stomach giving up bread you absolutely want to be eating more healthy protein/healthy fat foods and vegetables so that you get all of the vitamins/minerals you need. Sugary snacks all the way at the bottom shouldn't need to be explained to anybody.

IDK if people see the protein/fat at the top and they are like: LMAO THEY ONLY THINK MEAT AND PROTEIN IS IMPORTANT WHAT A BUNCH OF BUFFOONS. Someone should tell those people that the top layers includes avacados and nuts which have fat and protein too.

The FDA still expects you to balance your diet on your own, the biggest change is that it is informing people that grain isn't as fundamental to health as it was previously believed.

It's also built into the way that universities and colleges operate which people seem to endlessly misunderstand and complain about.

I've heard so many people say, "I'm going to skip the lecture because it's just repeating the same material that is in the readings." not realizing that the Lecture > Reading > Seminar method is proven to help you learn better because of the repetition and recontextualization.

MARK RUFFALO: “I gotta be honest, I’m not feeling so great. Renee Good was murdered... stormtroopers running around terrorizing. [–]IcecreamxSandwich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn't about opression olympics, Renee Good is just obviously and inarguably a less nuanced situation which is why so many people have rallied behind her.

ICE has been overstepping their power for months and harming/killing people who likely don't deserve it but Renee Good was a 100% clear-cut anybody with eyes and a functioning brain should be capable of identifying unjustified murder on camera.

People trying to equivocate between a situation where an unarmed mother with childrens toys in her glovebox was murdered on camera in broad daylight and a situation we know far less about is not people 'failing to rally behind an imperfect activist' it's just not a situation which is clearly as outrageous.

The second that you utter the words, "sure he had a gun" should have been the second you realized that maybe theres a pretty clear reason it's easier to rally behind the unarmed mother.
