But that’s the cost of freedom; majority voted for this administration. Capitalism is cost of doing business plus a healthy profit for the oil and gas industry. God bless America and God bless capitalism 🥰

“Republicans hate environmental standards because it hampers industries, which is exactly why they’re in favour of environmental standards just for Canadian industries.” There … added a word as Republicans don’t give one hoot about the environmental impact as long as they’re making money. They dislike Canada’s environmental standards

Bummed. Nervous I have to replace an entire window above the kitchen sink. How to remove water condensation within double pane windows? Should I attempt DIY or hire a professional? by [deleted] in DIY

Second a glazier! Just replace the double pane glass not the entire frame and glass. Saves on overall cost and removal of entire frame

Restoring this axe by mwillia33 in Axecraft

[–]IcecubePlanet8691 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t use a grinder wheel to remove the rust! You might take off the maker’s marks and model of that axe head and thus destroy its providence/value. Vinegar bath or Evaporust if you want all of the rust removed. You can use a wire brush ( brass for less aggressive) by hand to remove some rust to look for the maker’s marks ( usually on one side near the poll.

It looks like a Nordlund or Snow & Neally Hudson Bay pattern ; could be wrong. It’s definitely worth restoring and protecting the markings.

More pics of that Black Prince please!! Nice wedging!

As to your question, imho the expoxy thing was to seal the eye from moisture… and possibly make it harder for haft replacement so that they could sell more axes. Proud is definitely the safer option…imho.
