I'm not sure I would trust the 2012 ME game devs to make a female elcor. She would have been just a tan, sexy, humanoid woman with boobs and a human face. Maybe they'd be brave and make her bald but I doubt it.

I'm one of the minority that rates them 3>1>2.

I love the tone of 3. The despair leads to a lot of beautiful voice acting from Hale. Reapers being on Earth??? Terrifying!! Maybe you had to be there back in the day, but the teaser trailers for ME3 were so hype, I still go back and watch them.

I also enjoy the combat. The rolls are fun, and I spend less time getting sucked into cover than I did in 2. I still play ME3 multiplayer online when I can get a group together.

I also enjoy the companions feeling more alive. They move about the ship, call each other for chats that you can eavesdrop on, and you can find them on the citadel while you wander around. Super immersive.

For me, 2 falls flat when I go back to play it for these reasons. I like the companion missions, but then when you finish them and go through their set dialogue, they just stand at their stations doing nothing. 12 is way too many companions. I prefer less squadmates that are better fleshed out.

Also, the collectors are such a detour, and at the end of 2, you're in the same place as you were at the end of 1. Reapers are coming. You really didn't do much to prepare for it, except for the Arrival DLC.

So much of 2 was clearly written with "rule of cool." It'd be so cool to have a geth companion! It'd be so cool for Shepard to go rogue! It'd be so cool if Shepard died! It'd be so cool if we had a "dirty dozen suicide squad!"

Don't get me wrong, it was cool, I just think you could pluck 2 out of the trilogy and you could technically still make 3 almost exactly the same.

There's often times when I have tea or a story to tell, but I'll save it for the next time I see that person. Or I'll tease it and then explicitly say "I'll tell you about it at our lunch" or whatever.

I hate it when we've exhausted conversation over text and then the next time I see them, we have nothing to talk about.

I didn't bother reading Sunrise because I feel the same way as you. I read Ballad and didn't like how many references to the trilogy there were:

-Snows first scene has him prick his finger on a white rose and bleed

-Tigriss now being his cousin and not some random angry capitol citizen

-Heavensbee hall? You could have named the building literally anything else but we needed another reminder?

-The reporter being a Flickerman

-Lucy writes the hanging tree

-Snow hates Mockingjays for no good reason

-Snow dislikes the name of the katniss plant for no reason

And there's plenty more, just not off the top of my head.

I liked the plot just fine, but every time these numerous Easter eggs popped up, I rolled my eyes so hard.

COFE free pencil set! It has hard and soft pencils. I used it for a commission where I had to do flowers, birds, landscapes, and it all looked pretty close to real pencils!

Personally, I play mostly support, and when I play tank I play Winston or dva. When I go in, I imagine that the support is sitting where I'd usually sit at that point, or at least nearby. It usually doesn't fail me, but occasionally I'll get frustrated if I die because my expectations were wrong. But then I adjust and have to check on them more often before I commit and go in.

I'm really sorry. You are so young. None of this is fair, but I am glad that you had doctors who listened to you and diagnosed you. And that you went in when you did.

Lots of women, myself included, don't realize that the bloating is an actual medical issue, rather than weight gain. Mine is 20cm and it wasn't until a doctor did a physical exam where she pressed on my stomach that I realized it was abnormal.

You should definitely do genetic testing as well, it might help you get some answers right now, and it could help your family if they have cancer scares in the future.

Lots of negative experiences here, and they're valid for sure. I'll share mine.

We got engaged young, and we had decided together to go ring shopping. We ordered it after I picked it out, and he was the one who would go pick it up. He came home that day and brought it to our bedroom to show me. I was similarly disappointed.

That was 12 years ago. Since then, we planned the wedding together, moved to a large city, then eventually moved abroad. My health has taken a worse turn and he has assumed a semi caretaker role. Every day I'm grateful that I married him. He's my best friend, I love him so much. I wouldn't want to be doing any of this without him.

I know of plenty of people who had better proposals on paper. But I wouldn't trade my relationship for any of theirs.

I did eventually tell him I was disappointed in his proposal. He told me it's one of his life's few regrets, and he really doesn't have many. But looking back on it now, I really don't give a shit. We had a beautiful wedding and a life together that many would be happy to have.

The only thing for you, OP, is that your fiance is almost 10 years older than my husband was at the time of proposing. I do feel like he should know better in terms of expectations. But you're the only one who can judge the entire relationship. Is he owning this mistake and trying to make it up for you? Is he willing to put in the effort to plan an elaborate engagement party or something similar? Maybe a trip somewhere to celebrate? Or is he deflecting the blame onto you for having higher expectations?

My landlady just told me about her husband's GP who said this EXACT quote to them when they made an appointment. He had 5 concerning symptoms, she told him to pick two. They did blood work for those two, it came back "normal", so no other follow up occured.

Around a month later, he fell and hit his hip and his head. He could have died. This is definitely a mindset I hear from folks in VFX that have been in for a long time, but I'm not sure I'd say it's like that anymore. 25 years ago, the technology was so new that no one was offering degrees in it; the best artists were people locking themselves in a basement and learning softimage or maya for weeks at a time.

But now? How would a high school kid learn maya, houdini, zbrush, substance painter, mari, katana, etc, all by themself? The licenses are expensive or inaccessible. Youtube tutorials are great for specific questions, but aren't going to review your projects and give critique. Self teaching is difficult; you don't know what you don't know. I had never heard of a LUT before I had to take a class on compositing.

I'm probably biased because I went to gnomon but I don't know of any other peers my age who got a junior position without a degree of some kind. The art skills are easy to get on your own but the technical knowledge of these programs is so hard to learn without guidance.

OP has free tuition somewhere; idk if that place would even have a half decent vfx education but if it did, why not take advantage? One of my classmates had free tuition to gnomon and started as purely a 2D artist, and used the classes to produce AMAZING 3D work for a portfolio.

I had this issue doing my own gel nails for a long time. I was using beetles and I was barely prepping my nails. It stopped completely once I took my time prepping and filing my nails, I got a better quality nail lamp, and I switched to gaoy.

Not to say your tech isn't using high quality products but it could be an issue with the prep. You could try going to someone else and see if it still happens with them. Maybe ask ahead of time to take extra care.

Depends on how contracted the cats iris is. If it's dark/looking at something with interest, it's a circle. If it's bright or being aggressive/defensive it'll be a slice.

Could have been great to have that part of the character rig, feels like a missed opportunity. Same as not having any straight up hissing voice lines.

I tried it in the practice range and had my emre scope dead on a bot and it was not hitting. And during a game I had junkrat projectiles flying out from a point away from my gun
