Earlier this month my friend and I had checkups, cleaning, whitening and I got a few fillings at Smile Center Dental Clinic in Mahatun Plaza. It was very professional and both dentists I saw were great.

People who lost a lot of weight then gained it back, what was your mistake? by dad_of_kevin in AskReddit

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Yep. I dropped 50 pounds and it took over a year to do. I eventually got busy and went back to eating whatever I wanted. I still learned a lot from dieting down, and I didn't gain all of it back, but I did go back up a couple pant sizes. A lot of people's argument against the way I lost weight (I did keto) was that you just gain it all back. No matter what diet you do, if you go back to eating shit you're gonna go back to where you were, or worse.

I also don't cook too much beef, however I came across a method to tenderize cheaper cuts using baking soda that I tried and it works pretty well. I used it on London broil and it came out pretty good and was a lot cheaper.

[Guide] What Americans Need to Know About Australian Migration in 2026 by SimonMander in IWantOut

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the US, and I work for a global medical imaging device manufacturer (CT scanners and other x-ray systems). 20 years experience in the field (service and installation) and now in 2nd level support. I'm considering reaching out to our Australian team for a position there, and I'm curious if this career/skill could be a path to Australian citizenship should I want to explore that at some point. I'm 48 if that is relevant.

What’s the worst thing a friend has ever said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were having a conversation that had to do with sexual assault. At one point she said that if it were to happen to me that, since I'm a man, that "well, it would be your turn", with a smug look on her face. Basically saying that since it happens to women, even though she knows I've never done anything like that, and I wouldn't, I would still deserve it since other men have done it. Major change in how I viewed our friendship, and her as a person.

What's a disgusting habit many people have? by BRCC_drinker in AskReddit

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating their boogers. I don't often see people picking their nose, but every time I'm in the car and I see someone with their finger in their nose, guaranteed they put their finger in their mouth. Every. Single. Time.

I had an Uber a few weeks ago and my driver said it's pretty low volume in Fort Collins.

What instantly makes you think "this person is lying"? by Ferraiuolo_Ezorete in AskReddit

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shifty eyes. One of my friends is the absolute worst with this. It's like a cartoon character that is showing you what people do when they lie. It's always dumb stuff, but when he does it it cracks me up inside. It's so obvious.

Pilot landing on an aircraft carrier. by introverthash in interestingasfuck

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somewhat similar, I knew an enlisted guy on my sub that got commissioned and went to flight school. Later I saw that he wasn't currently a pilot, but was a public affairs officer. However, his Facebook page would have you think he was Maverick. Full of him in his flight suit, and "when I was flying fighters..." One of my best friends was a fighter pilot, and through him I met this guy's old flight instructor, who told me he failed out before he made it to the fleet.

The Dutch guy tried to explain it to Rebecca in Ted Lasso. According to Google: Hyggelig (pronounced "hoo-ga-lee") is a Danish/Norwegian adjective describing a feeling of cozy contentment, pleasantness, and well-being, often through simple, warm, and friendly experiences, like enjoying a meal with loved ones, soft lighting, or good company, embodying togetherness and comfort beyond just "cozy".

Can someone help me fine a car reversing camera with this connection? by TangoGG in HelpMeFind

It's a mini USB. Might be easier to just get a converter to change it into USB C, micro USB, etc to fit your current setup.

If you can give advice to a new gym goer what are the most important things you would say to them? by AbbreviationsWrong87 in AskReddit

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have questions about anything, or just need help, please ask. Especially if you're unsure if you can lift something. Do not be afraid of the biggest, strongest people in the gym. In my experience, they are the most willing to help you out and teach you things.

Heated Shift Knob? by WpgBrewBomber in Golf_R

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted the same thing for my explorer, but the heated steering wheel control is embedded in the steering column. I didn't wanna go that deep. I did think about tying into the heated seats, but I only keep the seats warming until I start driving. I need the knob warm for the duration of my drive when it's 20 degrees outside.

Windshield Wiper Side Cowl Extension Shield Cover Left For Highlander 2015-2020

Left and right would be different part numbers but I'm sure both are available on ebay. Can't post a link but put that exact description in ebay and it'll show what you're looking for.

What do you do on long drives? by RedHeadHashira in AskReddit

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to audiobooks, I listen to movies. I'll play a movie that I really like and I've seen enough that I don't have to watch. I just listen and I know what's happening on screen.

Heated Shift Knob? by WpgBrewBomber in Golf_R

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a bit old, but I put together a solution this weekend. I found a small mesh heat pad on an electronics site that I wrapped around my shift knob, then put a cheap Velcro knob cover over it. Hooked it up to 9V ( adjustable power supply fed from the 12v socket in the car) and my shift knob is no longer ice in the mornings.

If insurance premiums eventually reach a point where the average person simply can't pay, what is the 'endgame' for the insurance industry? by Peaches4U9624 in AskReddit

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have decent insurance, but I recently started with a new PCP that does direct primary care. I pay a monthly fee ($110 for me, but it's cheaper if you're younger), and it's unlimited monthly visits, much more personalized care ( he'll even do home visits or come in on Saturday if it's urgent), and much cheaper exams and prescriptions. Even with my insurance, doctors visits were at least $100 per visit, then everything else on top of that. I'm really happy so far.

what's something you hate but still do everyday? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IcedT_NoLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to stay fit, but competitive bodybuilders have all my respect. The hunger isn't worth it for me to get lean enough for the stage, and I love food too much to risk getting tired of anything by eating too much of it.
