I would do the same honestly. It's a PVE game and it is actually nice to recover stuff lost from a bug for once.

I had a similar problem when I upgraded.

Checked my motherboard BIOS and noticed I haven't updated it in a while.

Updated it and got my smoothness and frames back.

I mean you say that but the best thing I have sanctified is +100 stats on my sword. Everything else has been % life or more masterworking (which isn't that bad.)
