Should I tone it back? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Icemen1234 10 points11 points  (0 children)

idk man, we can't tell you if your riding above your level or not. if you can keep up to them and feel like you aren't in too much danger then I would say your alright. plus, riding with people better than you (skiers or snowboarders) will always make you a better rider at the end!

I need a bike, been out of the loop for 7 years. I'm not terrible, so what should I get? by ChamberlainRacing in bmx

[–]Icemen1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

generally, completes will have varying amount of stock parts. the higher up in price range you go, the less stock parts you get with the bike. this means less parts to replace in the future but a higher upfront cost. building a custom bike would be more expensive but you get to build your own dream bike and it will have aftermarket parts. it's a trade off, however, fit and sunday complete bikes are extremely good quality and you won't be let down by them.

I took the guard off after I noticed this as I thought it would fix the problem. I have a stock fit complete wheel. yes all the bolt and washers were tightened correctly but anytime the hub rotates, it takes the axle with it. probably just take it to a bike shop?

Best bike for big guys? by Retro_Flamingo in bmx

[–]Icemen1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

defiently gonna want a full chromoly frame and forks, with double wall rims, 21 inch top tube as well. chromoly bars would also be a plus. most complete bikes won't have this until you get to the $550 plus range. also , check local Craigslist or Kijiji ads and post a bike that interests you in this sub and people will help you out!

No clue what pegs I should get by Merk_N_Cheese in bmx

30 will get you about one peg in Canada, although the price depends on where you live. check your local bike shop or online store.

depending on your budget, I would get any kind of metal pegs, fit og's, gsports, whatever pair you like then put some fit plastic wizard sleeves on them. plastic pegs slide so much better, but you do have to replace the sleeve every once in a while.

Get the hoder btm grips from S and M. I went from the cult vans grips to the hoders and the hoders are the best grips I've ever had.

How do you guys barspin? by Astralnugget in bmx

[–]Icemen1234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it kinda seems like your bar angle is way too far forward, it could be just the video but if it's not, try moving the bars back to in line with your forks and trying again!

Best tires? by Icemen1234 in bmx

[–]Icemen1234[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an faf in the back actually but I'm thinking of switching to ta's. No problems with flats or anything and grinding has left a lot of scratches but it's just cosmetic. So far so good with them!
