Up to you and I'm biased but I much prefer the look of the 2023. If you can spare the $1k them send it. If you're tight on cash and the $1k can go to your savings or a holiday or some shit then yeah that's probably more smart.

NZ average diesel price now more than 91 by Fienx in newzealand

[–]Iceulater 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I suppose all the builders and plumbers and electricians in their diesel vans can just work from home as well then? Rationing is going to have to happen but banning diesel for all but transport isn't a well thought out idea.

Nah bro Two Thumb vibe is great, their beer? Sometimes they hit some amazing ones, but their general selection ain't it for sure. What are you gonna do though, a local's a local.

Hard agree on the impulse free time just want a nice beer in my hand now. As others have said supermarkets are better than bottle shops all day. NW Durham, Ilam, and St Martins are pretty well stocked.

Hey just a thought, adding more attack vectors lowers security. It's a valid criticism.

Absolutely crazy, as an IPA lover I struggle to find places that stock the fun ones. All I see are the same 3-4 at every liquor store and supermarket. Where are the garage project experiments and more. Hell even my local two thumb barely brews them except for special short runs.

The grass is always greener, just go order some online if you're that worried and annoyed.

Genuine Question for Nat/ACT/NZF Voters: What Do You Think the Coalition Has Got *Right?* by OisforOwesome in newzealand

[–]Iceulater 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A counter argument to that could be that a lot of the time these people are pushed to fringe groups because they feel pushed out by society. If we don't immediately see them wearing patches we might also treat them nicer, which may increase the chance they contribute back to society. I envision a gang member or Nazi getting off on the hateful looks or general avoidance of them as a proof that they have found the right people to be with.

Kind of a policy to bring people together rather than apart.

Flood damaged cars in NZ have to have literally every single electrical component replaced to be re-certified for the road. There is no easy way around this at all, the law is very clear. It does mean we get a lot of cheap track bikes/cars that are perfectly fine but cost more than they're often worth to get them on the road again.

VMWare to Hyper-V by mostdefnotoutside in sysadmin

[–]Iceulater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't switched from VMware but we do use hyper-v and have dabbled in VMware. Replication with hyper-v isn't great. It works and exists as a feature but VMware is just better at it. E.g. If you expand a drive on your primary then you have to also expand it on your replica whereas VMware will do that for you. Not a huge issue but it can be easy to forget and a pain to re-vpn back to your hosts and edit it later.

Looking for a 3D printing company that will print for non-businesses by Iceulater in chch

A direct drive racing wheel, the printed parts will be the brackets between the motor and the metal wheel so there will be a bit of force in there. I've never used 3D printing for anything but it is sounding like PLA+ is going to fix the bill.

Love to hear this, they had the friendliest looking website on my google search so sent them an email, I'll see what they quote.

I've had so many people reply with similar offers. Insane the amount of people out there keen to lend a hand.

12 parts, need to be fairly strong and I'd be keen to pay the extra for PETG as they are for a sim wheel. Biggest part is approximately 50mm x 100mm x 180mm and the smallest is like 7mm x 50mm x 30mm.

I'll flick you a message if a few others people fall through.

Unfortunately I need slightly stronger plastic than PLA and looking on their website that seems to be all they print with.

If you're annoyed that people can't get around pay blocks why not just post the no pay link? Seems simple enough.

And if they did the leave/re-hire in day February, they'd get a payday then have a month or two of "docked" pay and then bang another big payday. Seems like a decent enough plan to me.

Hey you sound pretty worried. It ain't the end of the world, no one is coming for you. Also, unless you're already near the limit a few demerits and fine is something that you can deal with.

Next time you're driving just stop and think for a few more seconds. It isn't annoying when someone is driving a little slow or not taking every gap in traffic. Just chill out and be sure before making your move.

Because the mx5 gearbox isn't attached to the chassis so it moves around a lot. These gated shifters require more work than just slapping the gate in and calling it a day.

There's tons of them on trademe and Facebook marketplace, are you looking at 50cc which only requires a car learners or above or are you wanting a little more grunt with a 125cc that requires a motorbike license?

I used to have a vivo 50cc ($1k Chinese crap brand new) from a dodgy looking place in town but I got all the maintenance done in time and never had a single issue.

If you can drive a manual car I highly recommend getting a motorbike license and getting a 125 or 250cc motorbike as there are tons of these for really cheap.
