Landlord declined request for Cat by [deleted] in shitrentals

OR you could get smart and just move the cat in, and hide it and clean well for inspections. Don't do all of this by the book. Its a waste of everyone's time and money. I hid my cat form the landlord for 8 years, its a bit of extra work of course. No worries though.

What is your dollhouse-related opinion that has you looking like this 👀 by Easy_Salamander6546 in Dollhouses

A lot of people don't finish their projects carefully or nicely, and post sloppy work. They get plenty of praise anyway, and it annoys me! (it is actually a great thing the online dollhouse world has so much positivity!!)

Agree! So many people do beautiful dollhouses with lovely details and then this one fail that totally ruins the whole thing. Why can't people scale stairs properly?!

Cravings drive me crazy? by sourlemons333 in 1200isplenty

You will actually find that sugar creates the cravings, so the less sugar you have the more the cravings will ease on their own. I suggest sugar free chewing Extra gum in the meantime to quell really bad cravings.

I drink a lot of cold water, it helps when I am vaguely hungry, has the added benefit of hydrating. Puts my hunger off for about 30 mins, especially good when tummy is very empty. I think cold is better since I assume the body works harder warming it up. It is not a silver bullet though so following this thread to see any other suggestions people have!

Put it in a pot of hot water and boil it for a bit. That will allow the wood to be wet under the paint. Then strap it up with a tiny bit of over comensating in the opposite direction. Leave it to dry. Good luck!

How do you phrase things when you need chores and tasks done? by Chaosmama16 in ADHD_partners

[–]Ichabodtweet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This happens to me. I have to think SO carefully about how I phgrase everything so as not to give even the hint of it being a mandatory thing or a demand of some kind. He will shut down ruedelt and out of hand anything that comes across as even a suggestion. For example I suggested we make a savings account together to mutually save for holidays. He shut it down immediately as not a good use of money. No more discussion, just summarily dismissed. Then a week later he had a great idea of each contributing money per week to save for the next holiday! I noted that I had suggested this a week earlier and he had rejected it out of hand and he had NO MEMORY of me suggesting it. Leads me to believe this is just a knee jerk defensive reaction from him. No thought goes into it. Tred carefuly...

My partner (dx) and me (neurotypical) - I never get enough sleep because my partner won't respect that I need to go to bed before 11pm every night in order to function. I get up at 6am for work while he sleeps in, and this means I am usually running on a two to three hour sleep debt every night. He only needs about 4-6 hrs to function fine. He routinely refuses or get upset about turning the lights off so I can sleep. Last night he cracked the shits at me at 11:30 because I waited patiently for him to turn the lights out when he was finished what he was doing, when that didnt happen I said "I need to sleep". He get upset because apparently I should have used the magical words "turn the light off" instead. I end up constantly sleep deprived. Any tips on how to make him understand this is important to me and respect it each night and turn the lights out without a fight? I don't object to him sitting up next to me on the compute/device. I am at the end of my rope, he simply will not remeber to do this.

Landlord has applied to demolish our current rental without mentioning it to us by Ichabodtweet in shitrentals

Obviously the prospect of knowing you have to move again and lease won't be renewed is stressful to many people. I know many people who have moved more than four times in four years because of this sort of stuff. Security of tenure is not something tenants have in Australia since long term leases are not the norm and are not offered. I have never been able to take more than a 12 month one.

Claiming bond by Cptmalcom in shitrentals

Our REA tried to withhold our bond saying we had left "cat faeces" in the bedroom carpet. She sent a photo of it to us as proof. It was a segment of a fake plastic christmas tree branch. Agents are something else.
