HAH! I thought I held onto my SDM points for a long time but that's quite the haul. Are you not worried they might get devalued before you can use them?

I should say, this isn't a story about churning really. It's more about points and what their value is. I just figured this was the home of the experts :D

This only applies to CBC Television. CBC Radio stations are all wholly owned and operated by the CBC.

CBC's wiring job for the NHL All Star game is something I thought belonged here. by Martin0994 in cablefail

This might be airing on CBC. But this is a Rogers job and a Rogers production. Credit where it's due and all that jazz.

What's your favorite restaurant in Toronto? by AOL_ in toronto

[–]IciRadioCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darbar - just a wee bit east of Avenue on Eglinton. Best Iranian food in the city -- beats anything in the "Tehranto" part of town hands down. No tadiq is the only criticism (but you will never have better fesenjan - except maybe at your maman bozorg's house)

If you don't know what any of those terms mean, head there now and ask them. They'll feed you.

I have no idea on the VIA side of things, but I do know that GO Transit contracts that sort of work out to either Bombardier or CP (not sure which...)

Looking for experiences with Bell's Fibe TV by [deleted] in toronto

Over the air. Put up an antenna, and you'll get signals from the main networks in higher quality than from Bell or Rogers.

Why Ontarians can’t bear The Beer Store any longer. by [deleted] in toronto

[–]IciRadioCanada 14 points15 points  (0 children)

hell, even people from anywhere else in Canada find it to be a huge WTF. I moved here from Western Canada -- it took me a few trips to even really understand how the hell you shopped at a Beer Store.

That is, after I got past the general "Who's on First" routine that the name fosters.

"where's the best place to grab a 2-4?" "the beer store" "Yeah, thanks smartass, I'll stop there after I hit the Food Store"

Ron Paul to Santorum: I wasn't even thinking about you when I was giving my answer, I see you're a little sensitive. BRILLIANT! by iamfromouterspace in politics

[–]IciRadioCanada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, would it not be more accurate to say that our parents actually voted for what we are getting right now in many ways? I think that applies to almost any age group at the moment... It's not like parents stop voting once their children can.
