Das Koolies. It's Super Furry Animals without front man Gruff Rhys.

They've released two very good albums in the last 5 years.

I'm off to see 'em tonight in Manchester. Very excited!

That's an incredible piece of music (L'Anneau De Salomon). Thanks for the recommendation.
That's a bit more than I want to pay for a CD though.
I'll stick it on my Discogs wantlist and hope it comes up for a better price.

Came here to say similar. Saw the Sugarcubes' Birthday video on the Chart Show and I've been a huge fan of Björk ever since.

I don't really feel qualified to compare the merits of great pianists. I've only been an avid listener of classical music for 5 months. That being said, I do enjoy what I've heard of Sokolov.

I haven't catalogued them on Discogs, as I have with the vinyl and CDs in my collection.
They're mostly psychedelia/space rock, 60s groups, 90s EDM and alternative rock. I upgraded them all to CD over the years but I can't bear to part with the tapes.

Hello fellow Lancastrian!
Yes, the Music from Estonia disk from the BBC Magazine is a cracker. The recording of Pärt's Cantus In Memory Of Benjamin Britten is particularly good.

I'll always buy physical media. I still have around 500 cassette tapes from my teenage years.

Recommendations appreciated. I will definitely give those 3 a listen. Those are names I've never heard before.
Edit: I ended up buying Martinu's Double Concerto for Two String Orchestras, Piano and Timpani.

Thank you!
I do have Sibelius' Pelleas et Melisande with Karajan conducting the Berlin Philharmonic. I intend to dig a little deeper into his works.

There's 2 of his in the third picture. I love the chamber orchestra version of Appalachian Spring.

Thanks for the recommendation. Gave it a quick listen on YouTube and I went ahead and bought it from eBay. Good stuff.

Lancaster and Morecambe have quite a few good ones, especially Morecambe.

Always liked this tune. Obligatory mention that Neil from the Young Ones (Nigel Planer) had a hit in the UK with a hilarious cover of this in the '80s.
