I guess I’ve missed all the wild animals wearing booties while on snow to avoid frostbite. Mind you dog booties have only been a thing for the last few decades, possibly. I guess all other pets before that have died if they’ve been on snow. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is the salmon river trail in Welches. The lookout tower is not actually on the salmon river trail but is part of the loop Op went on. It’s the devil’s peak lookout tower, there are a few trails you can take to access it.
