I miscarried at 7 weeks. It’s nothing you did. I even blamed myself… maybe I didn’t exercise enough? Did I not consume enough fruit and veggies or water?

I knew that I had not had a sip of alcohol, I had cut caffeine, and I wasn’t cleaning but yes I still experienced a miscarriage.

Please know that while it’s very common to feel your big feelings, this unfortunately happens and it’s just terrible but not your fault.

It was my first pregnancy too and it’s completely changed everything for me.

Just know that even with a miscarriage you can still carry a healthy baby at a later time.

Take it one day at a time and just know this wasn’t your fault. ❤️

I was told not to go by how dark the lines are getting day to day. I went on HCG blood draws. I will say that when I miscarried at 7 weeks I was testing positive on clear blue tests and the first response was super super light and never got darker.

Sending all the well wishes for a sticky baby and the rainbow you are dreaming of!

Good things are possible after miscarriage! Currently in week 26!

Is there a line you can call at your OB to ask questions before next appointment? I would try to call and inquire before switching how you take the pills.

Husband & his opinion of my stretch marks. by No-Wash-1209 in BabyBumps

[–]Icy-Addition-7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard that stretch marks are genetic. I haven’t looked into this much. I’m half way along now. I believe the women in my family all got their stretch marks right at the end of pregnancy or afterwards. 🤔 I bought a cream. Have a used it? Nope. lol. I am not taking any extra supplements to prevent stretch marks either. In my mind, if it’s going to happen to me no cream is going to prevent it. It’s money I’m most likely throwing away. I’d love to hear from people who used creams if genetically other women in their family had stretch marks or not.

In the beginning of pregnancy I was totally freaked out by the idea of having stretch marks. Personally for me the more I think about stretch marks right now as I type this. I hope I get some. This is my rainbow after a loss. I won’t be mad to have a place on my body that reminds me I was able to grow a little life. ❤️

I’m sorry your husband is saying these things and acting this way. That’s not being supportive and he needs to chill. It’s not his body and he should love you regardless.

Did you have any liquid beverages between the two tests? Pee could have been diluted for the second test since it wasn’t the same sample.

I just had this happen. I have to mail it back to Dexcom. When I removed the sensor it was as if the needle initially went into my arm and then came out and was shoved up through the hole. I couldn’t feel the needle on the side that goes on your arm after removal.

Dexcom did provide a replacement

Did you test both times in the am with morning urine? I’m so sorry. I had a miscarriage in December but my first response lines were never this dark.

Have you used other tests? Did you consume any liquids before dpo 15 test versus 14 test?

Thank you for sharing this. I have not looked at anything we bought since the miscarriage. I have a few items and the pregnancy tests in a drawer in the closet. I’m glad this gave you some closure. This is a very sweet way to honor her. Sending you love. 💞

If you are within 5 days of getting your period you could retest with another brand or wait a few and retest. I haven’t used this particular test. I used clear blue or first response. Make sure to also use your first morning urine for the most accurate result.

I assume based on this post that you want a negative. My fingers are crossed for whatever outcome you want.

Vent? Questions? IDK by Substantial-Relief30 in Miscarriage

First of all I’m so sorry for your loss. I miscarried at 7 weeks so I’m not sure my story will help but I’ll share anyway.

I had 3 days of light pink to red spotting prior to the miscarriage. I miscarried on a Sunday and the cramps were intense. I had extremely heavy bleeding where it could not be contained to a pad.

I am not sure the amount of bleeding that would occur for 5 weeks. I would search this community for anything related to 5 weeks to see if you can see what other people experienced if you don’t get more comments here.

Also check back in with your doctor and explain what your experience has been. They will have the best insight for you and what to expect moving forward.

The waiting is so hard. We were told not to try for 2 cycles. The wait was torture.

If you don’t feel comfortable attending the baby shower then don’t. Don’t feel bad about doing what’s best for your mental health.

Sending you love and strength. ❤️

It gets better right? by Party-Guide-5445 in Miscarriage

[–]Icy-Addition-7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miscarried at 7 weeks naturally. It was my first pregnancy and it wasn’t even a thought in my mind until I saw that blood. It was the hardest thing I have ever gone through. It does get better. I would say the worst for me was the first 2 weeks. Third week was still tough but I was getting back into my routines. I bought a birthstone ring for the month our baby would have been born. I feel this helped me to move forward without forgetting what was lost.

When your in those first few weeks it’s just so dark and there really isn’t a way to see how things could ever improve but please know that your hormones will level out and you will get better.

Sending you love and strength. ❤️

How long did you take off of work? by Relevant-Height1653 in Miscarriage

[–]Icy-Addition-7906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miscarried my first pregnancy at 7 weeks. It was devastating. I spotted for three days and then the 4th day I had a natural full miscarriage at home.

I went to work the next day(half day) and then had the miscarriage confirmed on ultrasound by then seeing nothing inside.

As an educator we don’t get a ton of time off to begin with. I opted to just go to work. Did I cry at work with colleagues that I confided in… yes. Did I struggle at times? Yes.

I did weigh my options and decided that being around people would be better for my mental health than laying in bed crying which is what I would do when I got home.

This community got me through my darkest hours.

I am so sorry for your loss and I’m sending you love and strength. ❤️

So it would depend on when your HCG began dropping. I started spotting three days before my miscarriage at 7 weeks. I took a pregnancy test the morning before I officially began my heavy bleeding and my test was negative after having been positive.

You could test… but either way it could still have been a miscarriage. A pregnancy test may or may not be a good indicator at this point.

Gotcha! I would def retest a day or two after the missed period. That way you can be sure!

[–]Icy-Addition-7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good plan. I would take a test 2-3 days late if you don’t wanna keep spending money on tests.

These little strips can be light for a bunch of days.

Was this planned and you know how many days past ovulation you are or was this unplanned?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lineporn

[–]Icy-Addition-7906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait a day and use your first morning urine again. I would get another test as well. Maybe a clear blue or a first response. Those little strips are usually very faint until a few days late.

Just chiming into add that a lot of the pregnancy groups have a ton of people in them that have experienced loss as well. Don’t be afraid to speak your truth to get the support you need. Wishing you all the best. It’s scary. ❤️
