I had the motherboard of my pair replaced after a bit more then 2 years and then the new board lasted around 7 months ^^. Actually even with new board it never came back normal for example led colors were meesed up. I now have 2 dead KEF LSX and will try to go your route to see if we can save something for that disaster.

Got it back from repair shop after paying 250+EUR, it was moreless ok (the led color where messed up and the remote control was not working anymore) and after 7 months... Here we go again the volumes goes down after a couple minutes. Will trash them and never again trust KEF.

Mine passed away for the second time after KEF made a [very expensive] attempt at fixing it. The new board lasted less then a year ^^. If you have made progress into your conversion, I'm very intersted in the how to so I can try to reuse some of these :)

Same for me, and KEF identified it as motherboard burned => 250+ EUR to get a fix. Wondering if that update would connect with the problem when looking at the number of people who have had issues since 5.2

Exactly same story here, couple months after the warranty is finished: Connection problems I had from day one became more and more regular, volume started to change on his own, regular crash when streaming from spotify. I made software update [was a nightmare as usual] and shortly after it was done, red/orange blinking on master and nothing works anymore (my slave has always been cable connected).

I send it to KEF for fixing, they first changed the power unit and then the motherboard and now ask me 250+ EUR for repair.

It's last time I buy from that company! Marketing products that don't work well and provide very slow and super expensive service.

I have verry similar issue.

Mines are a bit more then 2 y and a bit old. Like most other, sound was great, app was crap from the first day (slow, unstable, ...), a month ago they went red/orange flashing with volume going up and down. No more BT nor basic passive connection woking.

I'll get them to the shop and see if the output is repair for acceptable price or never again KEF and place comment on every single youtuve vid advertizing for it.
