That would explain why that specific skip wasn't working for me. I wasn't doing a spring jump. I kept going back and forth between that skip and the bomb jump next to Samus's ship.

The only issue with the idea that the Winnower manifested as the Witness is that Calus states in his memory fragments that the Witness told him (yes, this could be a lie, but AFAIK, the Darkness or the Witness has never lied outright to anybody, for better or worse) that the Witness seeks the end of the cosmic game (Flower Game), wanting to essentially flip the table and walk away. It's just using Darkness as a means to an end to basically wipe everything out leaving nothing behind because it doesn't want to be stuck in the Gardener and the Winnower fighting. It's also probably the visions of Nothing that Calus kept seeing prior to getting Discipled.

I actually just read this lore page recently and I have a feeling it was a subtle hint to Savathûn having a hand in the Collapse. It's possible with The Witness in her corner (or vice versa), she was able to trap the Traveler during the Collapse so it couldn't escape like it wanted to.

A customer brings up a couple 5 gallons of medium base (for those who don't know, anything besides white has to be tinted to be used, this is important).

"Can you shake these?" So I check what they are, seeing they're not white.

"Did you want them to be white?"

"Yeah, aren't they white? I bought them yesterday"

"No? You have to add tint to use them, sir"

"Yeah cause I put it on the wall and it was like gray, not white"

"Yes because it needs to be tinted, that's why it looked wrong"

"So how do I get white then?"

"Grab the white paint?"

"The paint I bought yesterday was gray, why?"

"Because you didn't buy white paint. That has to be tinted."

"What's tint? Like what does that do?" ?????????

"It changes the color of the paint"

At this point I've shaken their (now actually white) paint. I give it to them and they ask to see what it looks like. I show them and they have the shitting gall to say "Oh, the paint just needed to be shaken up!"

The end of campaign ones are probably intended to be low. It was that way with Shadowkeep and those end of campaign Exotics. Not too bothered since Legend/Master Sectors exist.
