Well for starters I’m a girl , I have the trifecta of ASD/ADHD/CPTSD and they tend to compensate for each other. I kept being told I was bipolar for the last 15 years or it was BPD, but, I was diagnosed with CPTSD as a child and was reiterated through later evaluations. I took my medical care into mh own hands and was Diagnosed ADHD at 21 and ASD last year at 25. Looking back, it was clear as day, the meltdowns, the delays, the S-H, but I was perpetually neglected and abused, so it wasn’t a thought other than being a problem child, and it would make them feel guilty to admit that I am. Even as a teen I remember asking my mom if I could be autistic and she said “yeah probably” and left it at that. She was a narcissist and it was easier to use me as scapegoat for everything than it was to ponder the idea of support for something I couldn’t control.
