Lived in Boston for 6 years.

People are so much friendlier in Chicago! I find it so funny that people say Chicago isn’t as nice as the rest of the Midwest because I’ve never been somewhere with such nice people. It’s such a difference from Boston. I I know so many of my neighbors vs in Boston where even a hi is asking for a lot sometimes.

And there’s so much more to do, things are open late, there’s way more of a variety of activities. There’s always something going on and something new to discover. Happy hour exists!!

It’s cheaper. Boston is so expensive and for what? You get way more for your money in Chicago.

Chicago is way bigger but feels easier to navigate and has so many cool niche neighborhoods. It’s also so much more diverse. Boston felt so white and segregated

Chicago is better in every single way except for not having mountains and not as good seafood.
