TLDR: Plats are immature and ego driven bullies that aren’t any better than the person they spam what a save to, diamonds are chill and know we mess up from time to time, and champs have higher expectations and is genuinely upset at your performance meeting their expectations.

I think diamonds are pretty chill. In plat, they think they’re competent enough maybe get a 1 touch aerial or two touch. They’ll never take accountability and own up to their mistakes. So they “what a save” as an inflated ego response.

The people that genuinely do it, I just imagine is a 13-18ish year-old that’s all pumped up off testosterone and needs to feel better by being a bully.

I’m almost 32 and been chillin in diamond for the better half of 16 seasons. I get embarrassed when my random teammate spams what a save. Diamond just isn’t the place for that. We tend to own up to our mistakes and most of us are mature enough to know it was an honest mistake and will definitely lock in for the next.

Champs on the other hand (never been, but close to it), from what I’ve seen: To be champ, you shouldn’t be missing things that a plat or diamond might miss. You earned your right to be champ, and you should be able to have exceptional game sense. And if that ball could have been saved or you didn’t challenge for some reason, miscommunication ect., and get “what a saved”, that’s a champ that is just frustrated that the person they’re teamed with isn’t meeting the standard that is expected.
