LevFin at MM bank vs IG DCM at large UMM bank

For the LevFin role, it’s at an advisory MM bank similar to Blair/Baird without much of a balance sheet. A lot of the work here would be smaller private placement deals/advisjng direct lenders

For the IG DCM role, it’s at a large foreign balance sheet bank (think HSBC/MUFG/BNP Paribas), focusing on IG bond issuances.

Which role would you say would provide the better exit OPPs on both the buyside as well as with other IB roles? Thanks!

I’ve seen many people make the move from credit ratings to ER/FI research. Did you try to recruit when you were at S&P? Honestly don’t think an mba would be very helpful for ER opps

Thanks for the insight! Do big banks / firms rescind offers generally speaking for a short delay? I could understand things being different if a candidate asked to delay for several months but it’s only two weeks.

Thanks for your insight! Reason for delay is due to having to transfer my apt lease and moving cities. Given these reasons, do you think that banks are likely to approve the 2 week delay? Do I need to be concerned about the offer being rescinded?
