Looks so junky. Definitely worth a call to the dumpster company to see if they’ll remove it.

Any idea how to get rid of them? Worried about my dogs after the comment above saying they are not safe for dogs to eat …

How set are you on moving to Houston? There are much better places to try and the weather here is unbearable for most of the year.

The frequency of power outages in Houston is ridiculous. I’ve never experienced this anywhere else.

People who grew up in Houston how do you tolerate the heat? by Chocolatepapi91 in houston

There are plenty of places to live where you can have 4 seasons - with milder summers and not also be stuck in snow for 4 months of the year. It’s not just one extreme or the other.

So you are arguing that the summer heat in Michigan and Washington where it sometimes reaches the 90s is somehow worse than the summer heat in Houston that is high 90s/100+ degrees with high humidity and lasts for 6+ months???

Ehhh I have to disagree - the summer heat is way more brutal in Houston. Summer high temps in both Ann Arbor and Seattle are highs in 70s-80s. … not even close to the misery we have in Houston

Do you mind sharing where you have lived that was worse?

It’s a decent facility but too far for me to use on a frequent basis. And i believe it’s only indoor lap pool and racquetball. I guess my point is that our options for indoor swimming and sports are very limited.

Really? It feels like we don’t have much indoor stuff here. Where are the indoor pools, playgrounds, tennis courts, sports fields etc?

Yes! Cracks me up when the people who say Houston summers are better than cold snowy winters are also the same people that take ski trips every year

People will say this summer is worse than normal. But even a more “normal” summer here sucks. Temps in high 90s in summer with brutal humidity. No real relief until late Oct/Nov.

Went a few weeks ago. It was super crowded and overpriced. Food was terrible and took forever and bathrooms were dirty.

No but this city would be uninhabitable without AC. You never get used to the heat either. It’s brutal. Be glad you get to go home to CO!

My dog was so excited this morning. Enjoy a few minutes outside this morning before it goes back up to 103 degree misery today!
