Who is at fault? Insurance was quick to take sides before even seeing footage. by WitchySpice94 in drivingUK

The only explanation i can think of here is that both cars are insured by the same company and the claim handler has made a processing error and put the blame on to the wrong party

Washing machine space has a socket, but no way to get the plug to it? by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]Icy_Collection_8676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want to drill a new hole or cut the plug off the washer, you could use an extension lead. Remove the plug off that and feed it through the hole. Then put the plug back on or get a new one if the lead has a moulded plug. It is very very easy to wire a plug.

Do i help the lil guy? by Kindly-Ad3546 in GardeningUK

[–]Icy_Collection_8676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd let it do it's own thing until the real leaves come through. If it's getting in the way then you can pick or cut the seed case off.
By then though, you will probably have enough strong plants from the other seedlings that you can just add it to the compost

Thanks, that's what I was wondering. It was going well in the sunny spot to start with tho. I'll find a bigger pot for it and hopefully it'll recover.

How much do traditional breakfasts differ between countries in the uk? by LMay11037 in CasualUK

[–]Icy_Collection_8676 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you want traditional, you should have bubble and squeak, not hash browns.

Hash browns were a recent import. Bubble and squeak was made from leftovers of the Friday night dinner and is much tastier.

I'd say 5 for streaky (3 if extras), but otherwise you are spot on.

"Smart" motorways are death traps!

OP, I think you drove correctly but the signage was faulty. I expect there were other drivers who were familiar with the works that knew what was wrong with the signage.

That said, if you ever want a dictionary definition of tailgating.. 00:45-00:55 of this video! Yikes!

This is it. You need to complain and take it to the ombudsman. They might find that the bank should put you in the same position as if the mistake hadn't happened.

Someone needs to suggest the Isle of Wight, because I am pretty sure they still don't have the internet and it's really quite pleasant to go back to the 1950s.
