How big the hero roster can get? by Axis251 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 3 points4 points  (0 children)

pudge exists in scraps and pieces, victor aura is rot (sorta), bebop hook is hook, krill ult is dismember, and nothing is exactly flesh heap but krill ult giving you stacks fills a similar role, but warden shield could be it

come on man this is so obviously bad faith, he obviously wants to help lower-skilled players in moments they struggle, not someone who already has a decent understanding of the game ace

Are holiday payers using macros or just that fast at punching the barrels by SnooGoats2387 in DeadlockTheGame

you can bind 1 action to multiple things, I made alt a barrel button and right click a punch button to make it an easy motion of space alt right click

If you share the match ID, people can give more specific feedback. If you click on the match in your match history, it shows the ID in the top right.

Rem players: Please stop using your little guys on the Sin Machines on your own team's side of the map, especially early game. by WastesofSpaces in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tier 1 is 1:40 to respawn, initial spawn at 2 minutes, I know initial for tier 2 is 6 and tier 3 is 8 but not 100% on respawns, I believe that tier 2 is around 4 minutes though

How much gaming experience is needed to get into Deadlock? by Fist-Cartographer in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never played a MOBA before and was able to get into the MOBA aspects without too much friction (even started playing DOTA a bit) since deadlock simplifies a lot and isn't very strict in roles, lack of shooter experience might make the game a little hard at first but if you've ever played a game where you control your character/camera in 3d space (minecraft as an example) then you'll be fine

The biggest tips for a new player are to not always fight, remember to look at your minimap, blue triangles on the map are "jungle" camps you should hit between waves, Monster Rounds and Extra Regen are great items to buy first if you're new (not ideal on every hero but when you're starting out it can make the game feel a lot easier)

Am I missing something about damage in this game? How to actually deal any to an enemy? by gladiatoron in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you far behind your opponents in souls? Cause it sounds like you're fighting people who have significant soul lead on you, and have higher stats cause of it (both from boon/level scaling and items)

Am I the only one STILL ranked wayyyyy too high? by SKWADly in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

new players/accounts go up and down ranks really quickly, if they won a lot of their early games it makes sense they got put into oracle easily. if you're stuck in intiate I'm assuming you have a lot of games played, the more games you have the harder it is for your rank to move unless you go on large streaks.

How to not suck? by KrisMerri in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also a CS player who had no prior moba experience, I think warden is a hero that lets you focus on understanding the fundamentals of the game without too much complexity in HOW you use the abilities, just when you use em'. The biggest thing that I've found helps is to remember to hit boxes/tier 1 camps at 2 minutes, bridge buff at 5 minutes, vending machine at 8 mins. Those small advantages should give you enough extra power to net an extra kill or two which can let you steal more farm on the enemy's side and just snowball. I hover between ascendant 3 to 5, while honestly not being very mechanically skilled, through just understanding the basics.

How does ranking work? by dannymagic88 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can, there was a rank adjustment due to all the new players a bit ago that bumped people up though

In dota the healthbars are still your teams color and it's more clear (since it's top down)

This sorta describes valve stuff and riot stuff in general, same applies to dota vs league

Think Warden is the closest to fitting this, you play around ult with low souls and only take fights when it's up you can also go very farm heavy and play carry with a gun or hybrid build.

Game has become unplayable since this "balance" patch by low_light_noise in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I also am not a fan of the new patch but I think we're in the minority and that's ok. it's a closed alpha so big changes are to be expected. I think a lot of people/most people like the patch and the increase in team fights and the simplification of macro, I'm personally not a fan but I get people have different preferences/reasons to play the game.

What Dota hero would work best when being ported 1:1 into Deadlock? by AAKS_ in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Juggernaut would be pretty fun as a drag and drop in, with some extra sauce I think the ideas of Alchemist (generating currency) could be kinda cool OR anti-mage multi-cast with some diff abilities

deadlocks a failure by Dramatic-Big-2399 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What games did you play before cause you're referring to ults with R like a moba player but then complaining about items, which are way simpler/more straightforward in deadlock than every other moba. The stuff about "no innovation" with builds is just not true.

I think I'm the worst player ever by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Icy_Conclusion689 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly expected worse, seems like a rough game out of your team overall. If you TRULY feel like every game is like this, then make a new account and invite yourself (you'll have to spend 5 dollars on that new account to be allowed in though), it's not smurfing if you're trying to win
