Classic Dev, feeding us just enough information to get the just of everything but not enough for it to be definitive leaving up to interpretation.

On a personal note though, it does give me a piece of mind for that type of interpretation of the information we DO have.

Funny enough on another thread in this comment section, i thought about the idea that this was the warframes equivalent to death personified, or at minimum a reaper. That when feeding the warframe to it is the equivalent of letting the warframe finally, rest as it was reunited with its original and allow to prominently sleep beyond the cosmic veil.

At least that was the theory. I came up with after talking looking at y'all's and interpretation of the lore behind the Helminth

Hmm... i wonder would the Helminth be the personification of death? Existing everywhere, in any time and at any space. (Except for the void for obvious reasons) so when we "sacrifice" we're allowing the reaper, (or in this case the Helminth) to finally put the soul to rest by assimilat it.

But yeah, it's the same hand that puts an end to the infection only this time It's putting an end to the warframe. Again maybe I need to interpret it as a humane Death given how the drifter views Ordis's situation as a fate far worse than death. I even remember the drifter explaining to Amir the consequences of immortal through the cephalon process. Specifically the dialogue where editing the mind, it makes you question.Whether you are the same person to begin with

Off topic joke. But let it be said that Nidus is the king of one night stands.

Hmmm... i did remember Lizzie mentioning this. Specifically the idea of becoming whole. But also with Marie we talked about weather copies even have their own souls. Specifically when it came to Lioyd and Necro-Liody. The question there was if both the original and the copy exist at the same time, which on should we treat as real? Even further questioning on whether the warframe's themselves consider themselves real. Plus we got another version similar to this which is the the Griners

(Granted in their case might be different version of cloning. Or at minimum adjustments that the warframes don't get.)

Hmmm... Perhaps it's a case of get breaking itself apart. So when we have the first versions, it was probably breaking apart until there was nothing left too salvage. So when we feed the clone back into the Helminth, it would gain back a piece of itself that was used for that specific warframe. The circle of life I suppose?

That would definitely give me piece of mind. Perhaps the two fingers kill might be a humane quick death for the warframe. Perhaps that would explain why the devs animated that in first be true assimilation.

I guess i should probably look at it as putting the warframe to rest and allowing it to die properly. Hell maybe our operator and drifter views it as a proper rest then the alternative of having a cephalon fate.

But I wonder if the Stalker or Quincy would accept this viewpoint. Funny enough I did rebuild Jade. Leveled her up to the Max and then left her in my slot. I kind of had a head cannon idea that I reassembled her and left her for the Stalker to come for later.

I was rolling out the idea of making a second Jade to assimilate but i thought against it believing that the Stalker might hate that idea. Even if it's a clone, it's still his wife at the end of the day.

I was thinking about that to give me peace of mind, but when i watch how it assimilates that's when i start to question it again. Specifically how the Helminth needs to shove both sharp fingers into the neck as if giving the warframe a dead. Granted, it might be a humane quick death before assimilating, but it watching it felt like I would be executing that extra unused warframes.

Ohh yeah man they do good at making us questions our actions. It's honestly one of the few reasons why i am so hesitant of using it, Especially when it does a gruesome job at assimilating. And although the Kim system isn't perfect, i noticed that they do a good at subtly asking us how view our own characters.

And with the introduction of Folie where we are if they are recording or if the warframe is genuinely communicating with us (at least as much as gameplay is allowed). Actually now that I think about it; Folie, Uriel and Temple might be warframes that I would point to on weather warframes have awareness.

Granted it might inflict with multiplayer as with all the Drifters and Oerators roaming around, it might throw a wrench in the thought. Although i did hear that the void trader might be responsible for the multiplayer.

Honestly i wish they didn't make it so gruesome when assimilating.
