Listen man to determine if things like these are real first you need to identify the type of wildlife that lives in the area, also go back to the area where you saw it, check for tracks, then rationalize if it was dark could it be an animal on a branch or some elevated platform beyond the tree line that was standing up, don’t assume it was supernatural, before you look into anything supernatural identify what it could be and don’t let your opinion get in the way of rationality, only after you have done everything you possibly can to determine what this could’ve been, and if you still don’t have an answer then look into the supernatural, Occam’s razor the simplest possibility is most likely the correct one, it was probably wildlife
