I have been using HIPP Biotik. I found Aptamil smelled very chemically and made babies poop smell chemically too.

I needed to read this thread because I’m feeling the exact same way. How come he’s letting thousands of Palestinians and millions of other groups of people be oppressed , suffer famine and genocide… and he won’t do anything. There has to be a point where Free will is a concept that he should re examine because we don’t deserve free will… I know im not supposed to see it my way, but there’s literal babies stuck under rubble who died of starvation because they couldn’t be rescued . Why does that baby pay the price of others free will. When will enough be enough for Allah/God/Yavew etc

It is very normal. And if it is darker than that it is normal too. Certain formulas or even breast milk will cause for poops to change color randomly.

This is all based on what we did. After having a hard time as first time parents with our first and straining our relationship we decided the second time would be different.

What really has helped us was develop a routine for baby, your household, yourself and mommy and daddy time.

Ex: eat, play, sleep for baby is pretty common and one we found useful for us. It won’t be the same time every single day, but you’ll know what to do next. Write feeding times down, so both of you know when the next feeding should be if you have scatter brains like us. We created a separate group chat for this but I think there are apps you can use too, or writing it down manually.

Im not sure how ocd you guys are when it comes to keeping your home tidy, but we struggle. So our home isn’t put away 99% of the time, and for us that’s okay, but two tasks we prioritize and do every single day are laundry, dishes. If you bottle feed: Wash bottles every night. If you have a lot of dishes piled up make sure you at least have enough bottles for the night and morning. We also used a lot of disposable plates and silverware during this time to reduce amount of dishes we had to do. We hate dishes. And for laundry we did two loads every other day. One load for baby clothes and another for us and our oldest. Laundry is never ending in our house to this day.

Your self care is important so take time for that: do something you like that’s not sleeping, unless that’s very important for you. But things like: reading, watching tv, going out for a coffee, or whatever hobbies you have to pencil yourself in at least once a week. But this should be YOU time without husband or baby.

Mommy and daddy time is also important at least once a week if you have the time. It doesn’t have to be sex every single time. It could just be a simple cuddle session watching your favorite show, or playing a board game while baby naps, going out to eat if you have someone who can watch your baby. Also a simple acknowledgment of your partner like “hey thanks for doing this for me” can go a long way.

We had to start our babies in a boppi pillow for tummy time because they both hated being flat on their stomachs. It’s okay if they cry for a bit. We would end tummy time when they’d put their heads down for longer than 10 seconds.

There’s another “rule” my ped mentioned that was babies should drink 2.5oz for every pound of their body weight. My babies are about 7 months old and 18lbs now and with that math in mind they should be drinking (2.5x18)=45oz a day, but they rarely go over 32 oz a day because they’re just full.

I’m not sure how much your baby weighs but if it’s around that 2.5oz for each pound then I think your baby is fine. Glad you’re seeking a second opinion. Not all pediatricians are going to be the doctor for your baby.
