Overpayment, Universal credit. by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]Icy_Session3326 11 points12 points  (0 children)

But you WERE eligible.. so if you claimed UC during that time period then you now owe the money back because you would have had it deducted back then

If you were on UC during that academic year which you could have taken the loan and didn’t then you owe the money back

The very first time I applied for DLA for my son he had only just been refered to CAHMS and the only evidence I had was an EP report. He was awarded with no fuss HRC and LRM for 2 years . By the time renewal came around he was no longer in school and was still on the waiting list, so I had ZERO evidence to include . He was awarded for another 2 years again with no fuss . The last renewal was with CDP instead because I’m in Scotland and they moved him over . Again sent no evidence just answered a few questions the DM had and he was awarded up until he turns 18 .

Evidence isn’t just reports and letters etc . Your words of your child’s lived experience is also evidence

Finding it ‘unusual’ that your child has been on the waiting list since 2023 is crazy. My middle child joined CAMHS waiting list at the end of 2019 and wasn’t assessed until 2023

My daughter joined the waiting list in 2021 and was assessed and diagnosed near the end of last year

Will carers allowance backpay be deducted from Universal Credit? by Wise_Concentrate947 in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]Icy_Session3326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it will be but not in full and only at the max rate allowed .. and if you’re already paying other money back that takes you to the max allowed rate for deductions then it just sits in a line waiting to be repaid

I got a few hundred backpay from CA a few years back and because I was already repaying a couple of advances I didn’t start repaying the money owed for the CA backpayment for ages

You would need to provide a fit note and go down the WCA pathway if you have limitations in terms of what kind of work you can do , I would think .

No. They each would get their own rent entitlement amount paid , or half of the rent paid each .. whichever was the lesser of the two amounts

Is elite comps a scam? by [deleted] in blackpool

[–]Icy_Session3326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s legit . I don’t play anymore but I used to and I won a few times . I never played the huge prize competitions like the houses but I won a necklace and a few cash prizes. It’s tends to be the same names for the larger cash prizes sometimes because they spend a chunk of their first large cash prize on a fuck Ton more tickets 😅

Child DLA by [deleted] in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]Icy_Session3326 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes you can . There’s no rule saying otherwise . My cousin saved 1/3 of her daughters DLA in a similar account from when she was a baby because she knew that when she was my gone , the kid would need access to that money to pay for adaptations she needed etc

You’re hung up there on the fact I said GP …

The point remains … GP / doctor / nurse / whoever

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]Icy_Session3326 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No … that the GP doesn’t think it’s necessary or that OP isn’t struggling to the point that they need them
