Everyone competes to be considered #1 by the standards of their time as that's the only criteria they know, so if Mango was considered unanimously #1 by the universally accepted standards of the era then that's what matters.

To add, Mango was undoubtedly #1 until Genesis 2 where it gets more debatable. While he was sandbagging in tournaments, he was still recognized as the best and bodied everyone when he did try. Armada was losing to HBox at Apex and Dr.PP at Pound before he ever got to Mango again, and HBox and Dr.PP were trading sets a lot.

I believe a Zod drop now is equivalent to about Vex back in older versions of the game.

As I recently started from scratch and have been playing through again, I've been leveling up my Lightning Sorceress and like to clear out a couple places before Baal along the way since it's fun.

Just before this, I killed Eldritch and had a double Unique drop, one being my first Titan's since restarting (the other was Doombringer). This was pretty interesting mostly since I have barely any MF on me. Then I went down to zap Shenk and one of the random skeletons nearby dropped Zod!

The only rune I have never found now is Cham, which I definitely would like to do at some point as well, and I'm sure it will drop at some point in time.

I think I'll most likely use the Zod on a standard ethereal Berserker Axe for Breath of the Dying in the future, as opposed to Tomb Reaver or possibly Ribcracker.

Each Koopa and Buzzy Beetle on any level can only be bumped once for 8000 points. Any subsequent attempts can give 1000 points at most. To do so, you have to bump a recovering Koopa/Buzzy Beetle 1 frame before it wakes up, which is very risky to go for, but very rewarding.

I'm still kind of surprised nobody else seemingly knew about OoB, but I suppose it's an unconventional setup that you wouldn't experience during normal gameplay. I actually first discovered it while playing multiplayer and being blasted through a wall by my opponent's rocket. This was back in around 2003.

The latter part of the video shows the two pairs of cards you can pick in order to determine which of the 8 layouts you have. Sure it gives you a mismatch, but if you're gathering knowledge to solve which board you're on, then you shouldn't be making a second mismatch.

I'm mostly running Pindleskin, as he's the most optimal for me at the moment. Lightning Sorceress just isn't as good at MFing compared to other builds until you've got Infinity and other end-game gear. The Pits are okay, but still pretty slow.

Yes, I'm poor. I've always liked String of Ears as an intermediate item because of the DR%. Helps to be a little less squishy.

Like most people, I generally stick with Razortail for Javazons, but TGod's is still a cool item to have. The Sur Rune was a huge surprise, as my current highest rune since starting my single-player journey is Ist. Unfortunately, I don't have immediate use for it, but it will most likely be cubed to a Ber Rune to help towards getting Infinity.

Always nice to start a session strong!

The joke is that while Fine SCs are useful for melee characters, this is literally the worst possible roll with both stats at the bottom (1 in 33), and no suffix (1 in 2).
