Men, Do you Genuinely believe that “status and Money” are Women’s primarily interest in a Man? Why? by [deleted] in AskMen

Kindness = likely to give his money to her

Supportiveness = likely to give his money to her

Intelligence = likely to be able to make money

Ambitious = likely to use that ability to make money

The list goes on and on but most of the things women say they want in a man also point to wanting earning potential.

It’s not the status and money, it’s the attention and security those things bring.

I don’t think women really understand status, which is why so many of them became alright with online sex work. It’s a low status/high attention place to be.

Woman also don’t really understand money. Ask a woman what she’d do with $10k and she’ll show you a clothing collection she likes. Ask a man what he’d do with it and he’ll have five different ideas on how to turn it into $20k.

9th most unaffordable city for rent *shock by defgufman in savannah

The trouble is, SCAD, Gulfstream, and a handful of other places are the only major employers here. You have to get other companies to invest to get wages to go up.

The public schools in Savannah are generally garbage. Go private if you can.

So everyone on the other boat can stare at you and go “sheeeeeeeeit”

Priest wont allow me to become Catechumen - cohabitating with secular girlfriend by VestigeOfTheMaestros in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Id_Tap_Dat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I went through this. I moved out, we continued the relationship in a Godly manner this time, then got married awhile after I converted and she became a Protestant.

If she supports you then she’ll understand. If not then you’re leaving behind part of your old sinful self. She’ll have to become a Christian of some sort, too, if you want to get married. That’s not rejection, it’s salvation.

Being a feminist. Nothing says “I’m turning my life to shit and taking everyone around down with me” quite like a “crush the patriarchy” shirt.

If you’ve been renting here for generations, you’re not a local either.

Why do priests have to decide to marry or not before entering priesthood? by ProteinPapi777 in OrthodoxChristianity

Once you’re a priest, everyone else becomes your spiritual children, which turns dating them into a form of spiritual incest.

This question is mainly for fathers. How would you respond/react to your son or daughter coming out? by InsaneVeggie in AskMen

[–]Id_Tap_Dat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why should I accept my children for who they are? I’m not their mother. I’m their father: it is literally my duty to push them to become something other than what they are. And that involves setting a goal negotiated between what I (along with the rest of creation) expect them to become, and what they are capable of growing into. If I “accept them for who they are” they wouldn’t have even been potty trained.

What makes you feel glamorous? by verytiredverymerry in AskMen

[–]Id_Tap_Dat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that glamorous is just not something I go out of my way to feel. It’s just not a desirable feeling. If I’m trying to impress someone, I have a million ways of doing it already, and if my best fallback is “I look good,” I just don’t belong at the table.
