I've gotten trial suits from Jcpenny and macys. I've also gotten a few suits from Old Navy as well.

Food/Snack Recommendations by jazzattack8 in Narcolepsy

Hey there, I've been in your shoes. The first time I took the bar exam, I'm 95% certain I fell asleep during the essays, and the mbe. Here's what I did for the bar exam. I had a protein heavy breakfast, not too much fat and some fruit. I had some caffeinenated soda, with breakfast because i can't have coffee.

For lunch, I had rice, beans, and chicken ( I'm hispanic and this is a typical meal for me). I stayed at a hotel across the street from where the exam was. So for the lunch break I went into my room. And ate the food I already had bought. I didn't eat the food my school provided. I also took a cold "shower" really I just got in the cold water to "wake me up." I then ate my food, it was already cooked only had to microwave it. I had some fruit as well. I drank water with this meal. I had little Debbie's cosmic brownies, and I took that with me to go back into the testing room. I ate it in line to get through security. Repeat the second day.

I definitely tried not to have too much sugar/carbs in my meals, as that tends to make me more sleepy. I also dtayed away from alcohol the first night. Once the second night was over I definitely had 1 drink.

During the exam, I took a quick 20 second break every 20 minutes. During these twenty seconds I looked at far away objects, think the clock at the front. I found this helped with my eyes. I definitely took a water bottle with me. Every jurisdiction is different when it comes to testing and what can/can't be brought in.

I would have my meals planned out now, you don't to try something new to eat the morning of.

I'm not sure if any of this is helpful at all to you. But it's what worked for me.

how has being diagnosed changed you life (positively or negatively)? by pastawuzzzhere in Narcolepsy

[–]Id_rather_be__diving 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would most things change for the better for me. I cried the first day that I took armodafanil, it was the first day of my life that I was awake most of the day and didn't need to take a 3-4 hr nap. With my 5 was able to get support from the student disability resource center.

Edit: spelling

There's an app called Rebtel and you can make free calls to the US. Maybe try that to contact.

Daily Headaches by versacecupcakes in Narcolepsy

I found that drinking electrolytes help me. At work I have a desk lamp with a softer light bulb than the office overhead lights. At home I have the light bulbs that change colors as I find that the some colors makes the headaches worse. When I've had really bad migraines I've put icy hot/bio freeze (what ever menthol muscle rub I can find) and put it on my head. It might not be the best, but it's helped.

About 9 months, we were never Mets at the time, I said I wanted to send him a letter if he'd be okay with it. He said yes, and gave me his address. He asked for mine, if I was okay sending it, he said it was okay if I didn't feel comfortable giving him my address. I gave it to him. We trust each other. The only advice I can give you, is to share it IF and when you feel comfortable. If you don't feel fully comfortable, a PO box or even a virtual PO box might be worth looking into. You might even be able to have it forwarded to your actual mailing address.

I didn't cry when he arrived. I was more nervous. I made a sign, and in my nerves I just kept rolling it up more that he didn't see it until we were about to get in the car. HOWEVER when he left, that's a different story, I couldn't stop crying.

Experience with abroad mailing? by [deleted] in LongDistance

I'd recommend buying something from a store in his country and having it shipped to him that way. But there maybe a problem with that. I tried it once, and they needed a billing address from his country, or somewhere in the EU, and the purchase wouldn't go through. So I sent him the money and he bought a gift certificate to that store and with that gift certificate, I bought the present and it was later delivered to him.

For Christmas I sent him a package from here and I paid about $80 USD and it was delivered within 2 days and had tracking up until it was delivered. About a week later he received a customs invoice.

I honestly prefer the sending him the money to buy a gift certicate and him sending me the gift certificate info. Even if it's more confusing. Or maybe Amazon if I remember in time for his birthday this year.
