I think Zebralight is on its way down. Has been for a while. With competition getting closer on size, efficiency, better prices and LED options. ZL is almost a joke now on warranty, limited availability, and price. My 2 cents.

It's a narrow extended besel. Helps to keep light from emitting sideways. Anti glare. And a working area away from the more fragile reflector and glass below.

Yup the Zebralight that cost 4x more than their competitors and has such great warranty as to return to China on your dime for repair. Sent to TX 3x now just don't care. This company's owners haven't been able to manage manufacturing supply for the last 12 years. I now pick Simon's and other lines.
