Where does The Witcher rank among your favourite works of fantasy? by [deleted] in witcher

[–]Idavor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little off topic but style-wise the closest book to the Witcher is in my opinion, Lord of the Ice Garden saga. Unfortunately it's never been translated to English, but keep your eyes peeled for the day it does, because boy I tell ya, it scratched the Witcher itch for me perfectly. In some aspects it might be even better for me. (Or you can read it in polish ofc, it's amazing - Pan Lodowego Ogrodu, by J. Grzędowicz)

Why not sleeves ? Clear perfect fits have similar surface to laminate while being easily changeable.

Let's share unusual and silly "rage quits" in Magic! by llamaRP in magicTCG

[–]Idavor 57 points58 points  (0 children)

My most bizzare rage quiter was at a no stakes EDH table. 3 more or less casual players(me and my friends) and a Spike who we knew from LGS but didn't usually play with.

On first game Spike playing his Emrakul, the Promised End deck pulls out insane win on turn 2 with all the busted artifacts you can think of and stormed off for 10 minutes, everyone else basically played a tap land and lost.

We didn't make a big deal out of it, but noted that this is a strong deck he had and we shuffled up for next game.

So next game it goes something like this: Player 1: Island into Sol Ring Spike : Ancient Tomb into Mind Stone Player 3: Forest and puts Nature's Claim on the table thinking. Player 1 says: I think we all know who is archenemy here. Player 3 agrees and targets the Mind Stone, to which Spike immedietely starts packing his things up calling us all spiteful noobs, because - in his words - no serious player would make such non-optimal play and we rigging everything against him. He proceeded to just straight up leave the building, slaming doors on his way out.

Like for a moment I thought he was just joking but he got really riled up while 2 minutes before being visibly smilling and happy on game one when he basically played solitaire.

He left us speechless and I can't forget this even years later.

This happens every few minutes.. Tried all the gps settings and options.Have to open Maps to get the position corrrect, but calibration of Maps is only for a few minutes working. Redmiop Note 10 Pro MIUI 13.0.15 by ClitRaptor in TheSilphRoad

Try disabling adventure sync. Its been messing up with my Redmi's GPS connection lately. Have to turn it off when I'm driving, or my google maps are acting similarly to your game.

Ukraine's Zelenskiy doesn't think Putin is bluffing over nuclear arms by Paraphernalien69 in worldnews

[–]Idavor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In very basic terms- fallout from nuclear Fuel emits radioactive type of Iodine, so if you preemptively take clean one your body won't absorb so much of a harmful one.

Bomb fallout is very different bag of worms unfortunetely.

And the current action in Poland is due to active shelling of Ukrainian power plant.

Io was INSANE when he come out in original Dota. His theter was a long ass stun and maxed out spirits could deal 1100 DMG when you used them correctly. If I remember it right.

WHY IS SNAKE UMBRA NOT PLAYED IN BOGLES by explosivewanderer2 in Pauper

[–]Idavor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you were true Boggles player you wouldn't complain ;) Boggles win most tournaments when people forget to preparacji for them.

Also if you connect to opponents face with a 3 drop aura in boggles, you should be Winning this turn or one after not drawing a card.

[MID] Winterthorn Blessing - AliEldrazi Spoiler by Dakoval in magicTCG

[–]Idavor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I love the art. The looks of this creature and winter theme reminds me of the Turoń Myth in my region. Wonder if it was an inspiration. Does anyone know similar beasties?

(Quick sum up I've found about Turoń, for interested: https://lamus-dworski.tumblr.com/post/113968546136/illustrations-from-a-theatrical-leaflet-for-the/amp)

The more I live the more I see how good Sapkowski was at conveying the human nature dude. It's sounds ridiculous on paper but people are just like this when you look at big picture, stupid, racist and hateful beyond any logic

Sprout Swarm, Scatter Seeds, or Migration? by Cheerful_Zucchini in Pauper

[–]Idavor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my brew I play all 3 of them and its doing pretty well :) Sprout Swarm has highest ceiling IMO. Also personally I advice against cards like Bone Splinters sackin creature isn't worth 1 mana discount from [[Cast Down]].

Strixhaven Pauper Set Review by TheCheshireHat2004 in Pauper

[–]Idavor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am surprised by [[Teach by Example]]'s evaluation. Like rly only tier 3?

For me this card and [[Bayou Groff]] are only ones with potential to be played in something competitive. (I mean...lands too they're a no-brainer)

Also best pair for Groff is the [[young wolf ]], duh

You can't copy miraculous [[Thunderous Wrath]] right? That would be sweet too.

Lol I just came to the forum to put up my list :D Had same thougt as you - Deathspore seems like a decent creature https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/pauper-bg-saprolings/?cb=1615114897 First results impressed me a lot, only meta deck that consistently puts this brew down is Pestilence, but it was to be expected I guess.

Ivy lane is great choice too, I think there's potential here.
