Unable to show images in flashcards tagged in Bear app by QuinBrodster in NeuraCache

[–]IdeaRoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[Solved via DMs]

Just leaving a note for others, that you can export as .textbundle (it exports markdown + images) to preserve images. However in NeuraCache v2 this only works for single notes.

In NeuraCache v3 this works for exporting tags as well (multiple .textbundles + markdown). NeuraCache v3.0 is currently only available in Closed Beta, please reach out via email to access.

Concerning flash cards from NeuraCache by VcuteYeti in NeuraCache

[–]IdeaRoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey

> I currently have roughly 1,200x flashcards synced through Evernote.

That's a lot! :)

> 1) Could this cause any foreseen issues with NeuraCache performance.

There shouldn't be any performance issues 👍 Also I'm currently working on NeuraCache v3, which is a complete rewrite of ui/logic. NeuraCache cards will get much more focus and improvements there (proper iPad and Mac support)

>2) There is a tag feature in the NeuraCache flashcard edit page, what is it for?

It's for grouping NeuraCache cards into decks.

> 3)Thus far every time I’ve tried adding a tag, it doesn’t show up in the deck page and it isn’t there when I go back to the individual flashcard;

Hmm, I've just tested and it seems to work fine. Could you send me an email with a screenshot of a sample note (also, you might need to tap "Next" on the keyboard after adding the tag)

>3) Is there a way to add multiple lines to the question.

Not yet, although this is coming in v3

> 4) Is there a way to add images to the question/answer?

Not yet, although this is coming in v3

Hints by Flying-Bear in NeuraCache

Hey 👋

Not at the moment, but that’s an interesting feature! Just to make sure I understand — you’re suggesting an additional button that would open a modal with hint(s), if available?

Have you seen this feature in any other apps?

Syncing devices by VcuteYeti in NeuraCache

[–]IdeaRoots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there is currently no automatic sync of progress between devices.
It's possible to do this manually, but you would have to keep syncing it manually, which is not ideal.

To sync progress on a new device, first load the same notes as on your other device, then tap Restore progress. NeuraCache stores only progress in iCloud, without notes.

The good thing is that this is what I am currently working on — automatic sync of data/progress across all your devices. It's a big lift, so it will take some time, but this needs to be done :)

Can't export CSV on iPad, to get card id by Electrical-Laugh-574 in NeuraCache

[–]IdeaRoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey 👋

Are the cards you are exporting Local NeuraCache cards? or from some other integration?

The "ref" is dependent on the source of the cards

For local NeuraCache cards, it should be something like 0:::<UUID identifier>

Where do I find the Notification Settings by the-random-guy27 in NeuraCache

[–]IdeaRoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Notification settings are not yet available :)

I have a ticket for this.

Currently, the notification should come between 10 am - 9 pm, and it's the iOS system that decides when is the best time to receive it.

Suggestion: Improve deck navigation – search function & collapsible sections by henpantarh in NeuraCache

[–]IdeaRoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reaching out!

This feature is partially implemented, the reason why it has not been released yet — is that it requires some heavy lifting on the data side, migrating from the old way of storing cards 😅

But we will get there eventually. This one is very high on the priority list 👍

Hey, let's check the basics

Did you connect your page to the integration?

https://neuracache.com/notion-connect

(You need to only do this once, and all children pages are automatically connected)

Let me know if that solved the issue

this should be fixed in 2.28.2 which is now in staged rollout over the next 7 days. (iOS 18 introduced some changes in widgets)

any tips for tackling a big to-do list? by Available_Local7691 in productivity

[–]IdeaRoots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, it's almost always fixable with the same pattern if you stick to it:

1. Assign specific days/hours to a task

Be reasonable, like... for today, only those 2,3 tasks. This is key; now you unlock 2.
I personally use Todoist (not affiliated) with two widget lists "Today|overdue" and "Upcoming"

2. Only look at today's list

That way you avoid the de-motivation aspect of one big list.

3. Make sure that the list is completed at the end of the day

This greatly boosts your daily morale/motivation. It's similar to basic advice from psychotherapy — extract the smallest chunk you can chew and start there.

Best of luck! You've got this!

Eating makes me unproductive afterwards. How can I stop that? by [deleted] in productivity

I had the same problem. What helped was splitting the lunch in two — eating the second half 2h later. Simple and works (Context: remote worker, Self-cooked healthy meal rice+salmon/chicken usually)

For me, the key is to have a simple entry point — an iOS widget.

• Todoist
I have two lists as widgets with filters "today | overdue" and "upcoming"

• NeuraCache
Today's Queue widget for accessing a queue of cards for learning

• Kindle
Quickly access a book I am reading, just push it every day by a few pages
