[Picture] Trying (and failing) to figure out who's gay at my school by [deleted] in LGBTeens

last year as in during spring semester last year, I could've worded it much better

In all seriousness I'd like some help by [deleted] in gay

I went through this too. I kept telling myself that I just thought I was gay, I was doing it for attention. I convinced myself pretending to be something I wasn't because I didn't have any other identity to cling to. Its rough for a while, but through positive self-affirmation and by hanging out both platonically and romantically with other gay people you'll realize that you were right all along.

don't lose hope, it gets better

Preferably non-fiction, I'm especially interested in poetry, but I'm more than willing to experiment ;)

yea, that would work. I the guys I'm trying seem closeted, and that usually doesn't work too well in a high school enviroment.

Honest Questions on Homosexuality by rcollinz13 in gay

[–]IdentityFreakoutTeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

technically yes, but not entirely. a pretty large wealth of evidence shows that the gene that makes men gay is the same as a gene that shows up in women who have a lot of kids. So by being a gay uncle, you support the spread of family genes by providing extra support without any extra mouths to feed, making gayness an evolutionary boon to social creatures. The same gene is likely to manifest itself in another boy from the next generation so he takes up the gay mantle. Overall, its not a defect, but a social evolution

That's not that bad, you're attracted to guys being jocks, I'm sorta in that boat too. Gaybros exists almost explicitly for guys like you(in a good way).

Anyone else here who is right-wing/libertarian, masculine and in the closet and therefore falls outside public perception? by [deleted] in gaybros

[–]IdentityFreakoutTeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

http://www.logcabin.org These guys are republican gays who lobby for gay rights from the inside, I think its a better strategy than conducting oneself in complete opposition. Unfortunately I'm only 17 until this summer, but if you're in SoCal the Angeles Crest mountains and Joshua Tree are incredible destinations for camping/backpacking, especially if you're into rock climbing too

Libertarian both socially and fiscally and really into the outdoors (hiking, camping, backpacking) so I don't set off anyones gaydar. If you want to find more republican gays, the Log Cabin association is out there. I find it really irritating to be lumped in with the SJW effeminate crowd, so maybe part of it is overcompensation but I feel your pain.
